Weird question to the furry side of Tumblr at 3:09pm (15:09 for those who use that system), what does it mean when something is tagged as ‘kin’? I’ve seen a number of artists saying “please don’t tag as kin” and I want to know what it means

I'm actually lowkey debating becoming a furry, even though they get a lot of hate??? So, @ furry fandom, any tips for creating a fursona or making friends? I've been debating getting into this for a good while.
