A Christmas song from The Church??

Not the happiest song ever, but what do you expect?

shash wanted my thoughts on the new album.

After first listen I liked half of the songs. After second listen I liked all of the songs. After third listen I loved all of the songs. Well not all, but 10 out of 12. This is usually how it goes with their albums.

I always get nervous when a band I have loved for years comes out with new material. The fear of disappointment is always there. But I should never get apprehensive with this band. This is another great addition to their canon. 

Favorites include Delirious, Laurel Canyon (the next single I would imagine), Globe Spinning, and Miami. The whole collection is wonderful. The only negative is perhaps the production is too lush and atmospheric like their last album, and perhaps some of the songs are too long, but that is nitpicking. A great album. 

This isn't released until next year in the northern hemisphere as far as I know, so you will have to get it from their website. With shipping the CD was 27 dollars (US). Very much worth it.
