Ash annoying Sev after a hard day of work

It's Skye Sierra! Cool space pilot, part time gunslinger and full time cutie! Skye is thirty two years old, 229cm tall and her weight is significant.
Skye's pronouns are she/her and she identifies as bi.
Heiress to the affluent Sierra Foods Corporation, Skye was given high-end flight simulators and even her own ship at a pretty young age, where it turned out she's a natural in the cockpit. As a result, Skye was a decently skilled pilot by the time she was legally old enough to get a pilots licence.
After a stint piloting cargo shuttles for the family business, Skye joined up with the local military, where her piloting prowess fast-tracked her through the fighter pilot training programme. As it turns out, rich girls don't have to fight alongside the common folk: her rich family intervened, much to Skye's annoyance. Skye found herself assigned to be a test pilot, where her large size was actually in high demand: Almost all combat craft are built intended to be flown by human pilots, some considerable re-engineering and thorough testing was required to allow them to be flown effectively by a more than two metre tall and widely built Lyreca. After a couple of years of test piloting, pushing ships and herself to the limit, Skye decided it was time for a new challenge.
Micrograv racing, a sport that tested the machine as much as the pilot. A race where ships were required to switch between low altitude racing mere metres above a track, both in and out of atmosphere, then taking the ship up into space for long range runs at blistering speeds. Only the best pilots with corporate sponsors are able to take part at a professional level, fortunately Skye was a real skilled pilot, whose family happens to own the biggest corporation on Lyre. Skye's arrival on the Micrograv racing scene caused a lot of controversy and ridicule: Micrograv racing was a sport dominated by human pilots, mostly human male pilots. The idea of a female Lyreca pilot, especially one who was two point three metres tall and kinda extremely chubby, was absolutely ridiculously to pundits and journalists alike. As it turns out, Skye is a REALLY good pilot, climbing her way up the leaderboards race after race. During her racing career, Skye met Ash (who will get her own post like this!) who first became her onboard engineer, then later, her Wife!
Skye grew up on the family estate on Lyre, a working ranch out in the country. Between wildlife and the ever present threat of bandits and ne'er-do-wells, Skye learned to shoot as soon as she was old enough to hold a pistol. Not only a decent shot from years experience, Skye has a reflex boosting implant from her career as a pilot, something that comes in handy when you gotta be quick with your gun!
Skye's personality is kind and caring, but also confident and driven. When in the cockpit, she can get quite cocky and very sassy.
Skye can be quite flirty and likes attention, but she will not hesitate to kick your ass or shoot you (stun setting) if you're inappropriate towards her!

It's Sev Simms! Reluctant leader, part time good boy and (simulated) combat expert! Sev is thirty years old, 183cm tall and he's a lil bit buff!
Sev has never been to the Lyreca homeworld, having been born on a ship travelling to the human colony of Sanctera. His Mother died shortly after his birth, so Sev was adopted by a couple of human doctors and raised on Sanctera. Ostracized from his own culture by the sheer distance of space, yet never entirely fitting into human culture, Sev ended up quite content being a loner.
Sev worked for an arms manufacturer for over a decade, in their life-like combat simulator division. Initially employed for his computer skills, Sev found himself testing or otherwise taking part in training simulations for most of his working day. While in real life he's only done a couple of months of basic training, Sev has logged thousands of hours in the most advanced combat simulators that money can buy! The closest thing to an experienced starship commander, assuming there is no one with actual experience around!
In essence, he is skilled, but is he experienced???
Much to his horror, circumstances force Sev to take a command role on a combat ship, where Skye, Kat and Ash absolutely torment this poor boy!
Sev is a nice and friendly boy, with a pleasant personality and eagerness to please, he's friends with pretty much everyone and anyone! He identifies as bi.
Sev's interests include videogames, movies, cooking and going on real long walks.
It's Ash Sierra! Expert engineer, unethical weapon-smith and a deceptively cute purveyor of violence! Ash is married to Skye, hence the shared surname! Ash is 29 years old, 172cm tall and her weight is average.
Ash's pronounced are she/her and she identifies as Pan.
Born to a family of farmers on an idyllic, tropical, equatorial island on the Lyreca homeworld of Lyre, Ash grew up in a tropical paradise barely touched by humanity's somewhat botched uplift of the Lyreca. That was until an Earth based corporation decided the island would make a great spot for a spaceport. When Ash was still a child, she stood with her family outside their wooden shack of a home, as a flame shrouded, metal behemoth screamed down from the sky above. The colony ship was intended to land, then be dismantled, its superstructure used as the foundation for the spaceport. Instead, the colony ship came down far too hard, impacting the island with enough force that the resulting tremor destroyed almost every single native wooden building on the island, Ash's family home included.
In the aftermath of the disaster, the corporation decided to cut their losses: evacuating almost all of the crew of the colony ship, but abandoning the wreck and the equipment aboard. Essentially, leaving the island inhabitants with a giant, damaged, decaying ship on their land. With the threat of the damaged vessel leaking corrosive engine coolant and losing reactor containment, a small contingent of human engineers stayed behind to maintain the wreck and prevent disaster. With their homes destroyed, the island inhabitants moved aboard the wreck of the ship, Ash included. Living aboard the ship, Ash took an interest in the work going on around her. Despite still being a child, Ash was put to work on simple tasks, the grim reality was that her small size allowed her to fit into access tunnels and service corridors in parts of the hull that had buckled, leaving only narrow points of access.
Growing up alongside so many experienced engineers, working with scraps and scavenged tools to keep the rusting hulk from falling apart, Ash ended up very, very good at fixing things!
We'll swing back to Ash's adult life in a later post... But feeling the need to move on, Ash ended up taking a gamble to get herself a job on a Micrograv racing team. Ash managed to talk her way into the engineering crew of Team Sierra, where she quickly got promoted to the coveted onboard engineer position, accompanying Skye Sierra in her most successful races. Skye and Ash kinda fell for each other, then long story short: they got married!
Ash is a driven and determined individual, often finding herself lost in her work. If there isn't a starship that needs fixing, she'll probably be building and/or tinkering with some dangerous gadget or doohickey. Somewhat aloof, even confrontational toward strangers, she's a caring, loyal, fun-loving girl once you get to know her!
Woah! It's Skye, Sev, Kat and Ash! The crew of a ship named "Sanctera's Fury" (I'll do a writeup on the ship later!)
Skye is the ship's extremely talented pilot!
Sev is in command, but also has extensive computer and tech skills!
Kat is something of a super-soldier, living weapon, murder machine... but she's also the ship's specialist in starship gunnery!
Ash is a natural born mechanic and the ship's engineer!
They are Lyreca! Wolf-like Humanoid aliens from the Lyre system!
Lyreca were influenced by an alien race colloquially referred to only as "Precursors", as we don't know who they were or what they looked like, but we do know they genetically engineered the entire Lyreca race roughly fourteen thousand years ago into the cool, soft friends we see today! As well as seeding various Lyreca cultures with similar iconography and values, for reasons unknown.
Adult Lyreca males typically range from 5-6 feet in height, whilst Adult Lyreca females range on average from 6.5-7.5 feet in height! In general, Lyreca women are bigger and stronger than Lyreca men. For reference, the average Lyreca male is marginally stronger, but of a similar size, to the average human male.
