Their brother who they watched grow because you can’t tell me that Ace wasn’t there when Ardyn brought Jean to visit Nyx, and Ace can remember the phone call he got after Jean died, can remember the grief and still there terror in Nyx’s voice and how Ace had desperately wanted to be there for him but couldn’t.
And so Shiva has two angry magic wielders to deal with and they make sure that she knows that she’ll regret what she did.

Oh. Considering the Lucis Caelums die young there is a very good chance that Regis is the first one in a while to be able to meet his grandkids.
...*throws Aeon into the fusion verse* *Ace and Nyx and Jean promptly become uncles to the sorta feral omega that Cor has as a kid.*
But imagine: Jean and Ace pregnant by Nyx, /at the same time/. (Nyx would be in paroxysms of joy. And run ragged trying to keep up with two pregnant husbands - when he's not staring at them in outright AWE, that is.)
Honestly? I’m giggling thinking about how Jean would tell Ardyn. Just, it’s probably a text like: ‘Dad my husbands are keeping me confined to Insomnia. Help’ followed by ‘Also I’m pregnant? Surprise? HOW IS THIS EVEN POSSIBLE OH SHIT DAD’
Jean is freaking out. He loves the baby but he’s freaking out because what if the baby winds up like his father and him? What if the Astrals try to use the baby to hurt his family? What if-

“They won’t touch the baby,” Nyx agrees from where he’s sprawled across Jean and Ace’s laps, “I won’t let them.” Jean laughs because what can Nyx do? But then he sees the look in Nyx’s eyes and thinks that maybe Nyx-

(Ardyn totally shows up the next day. Just. Poof. He’s in Insomnia and staring at his son like he can’t believe what happened.
“You’re going to be a grandfather,” Ace snarks at Ardyn. Those were the only words he needed to hear before he’s silently vowing that nothing, nothing will harm his child or grandchild. Nothing will harm his son or his stepsons.

*evil grin* Ah, but imagine the Pregnant!Reveal taking place in the fusion 'verse - people would be ever-so-slightly boggled that Ace has /two/ husbands. Let alone one with as - unique a character as Jean.
Okay okay but Jean walking into the apartment just after Ace has told Regis that he has two husbands. Jean is chipper and that chipperness doesn’t fade when he sees Regis and Co and Noctis and Co there.
Instead, he glides over to Ace and presses a kiss to Ace’s cheek.
“Lover,” Jean greets, before settling in next to Ace and wrapping an arm around him, “You didn’t tell me we had guests!”
“Because I didn’t know you’d be in the city,” Ace says dryly. Fully aware that Jean is Making A Statement By Wrapping Himself Around Ace. That Statement being This One Is Mine.
Casting a look at the others, he can tell they fully realize it as well.
“Possessive asshole,” Ace says and Jean just presses himself closer.
“Yep,” Jean says.
Regis clears his throat. Jean gives him a smile that is not really a smile and more like a thinly veiled threat. Ace jabs Jean in the stomach with an elbow. The smile fades into something a bit more sincere.
“Your Majesty,” Jean says, “Pleasure to finally meet Ace’s father.”
In the SO!Reveal AU - imagine. Imagine if that happened in the /fusion/ AU. Nyx would wear - amethyst and moonstone and rubies - the rubies that are such a dark, rich red that they're nearly purple - all set against an outfit of black and gold, and his husbands would /jump him/.
Ace and Jean would stare, and then, as you said, jump him.
It’s not their fault that Nyx looks so pretty in their colors! And honestly, the fastest way to get a Lucis Caelum to notice you is likely to wear their colors because their MINE instincts? Very prominent.
Nyx walking in when his friends/bosses/acquaintances are having sex. He goes home to Ace and Jean just... traumatized. (Props if Nyx walks in Regis having sex with Clarus)
Why is this image so amusing to me. Why.
But you know what would really traumatize him? Walking in on Ardyn and Cor going at it. He would just. Shut down for a moment and before he knows what is happening the door to Cor’s office has been slammed shut and he’s all but running from the area.
Jean laughs at him later. Ace looks sick at the thought of Ardyn having sex with anyone. It’s all very amusing.
Also, in the fusion 'verse - *snicker*. I have to wonder if someone wonders if this makes Nyx a double prince or something? After all, he's married to two princes - what's his official title? Royal Consort? Prince? First Concubine of their joint harem? (Nyx: I VOLUNTEER!)
I can just see Libertus joking about Nyx being the first member of Jean’s and Ace’s joint harem and Nyx looks Libertus dead in the eye and says something along the lines of ‘You say that like it’s a bad thing.’
I think maybe, Royal Consort would be his title? Hm. I am unsure. Then again, none of the three really care about titles as long as they have each other.
