“ The fun just never ends‚ does it? ” Booted feet dug into the
grim covered ground before his body launched itself into the air. With a
quick shift‚ his body became horizontal to the ground‚ Cerberus spiraling
around him and making impact with the demons. Rising to his feet, he
shifted‚ latching the nun-chucks to his hip once more.
“ Do me a favor next time‚
and stay out of the way‚ kid. ”
" That's not fair, " the girl complained, the smooth plain of her brow pulled together, lips jutted out in a simple pout, while she clung to the other's arm. The remote controller sat idly between her legs, chin tucked on Nana's shoulder as chocolate hues flitted up to meet her's. " You've had more practice than I do, plus, you just got lucky. If it wasn't for that blue shell, I would not have fallen so far behind. " She knew that challenging Nana to a Mario Kart battle was a bad idea, but she was willing to put her pride on the line for the sake of having so fun--and pleasing her.
Plus, she actually liked playing.
Even if she sucked at it.
A laugh escaped from the blonde as she ducked down, nuzzling her face into the dark strands of the smaller. " Sure, sure, Emi. Whatever you say, " with a teasing sing-song, Nana suddenly stood up, causing the other to fumble a bit and fall forward with a small yelp, just before she caught herself--only to slump against the floor and roll over. Looking up at the other, the lamb gave a small whine, arms sprawled to her side. " What was that for? "
Stretching a bit, Nana gave a grin before she leaned forward, hands resting on bent knees. " C'mon, let's go. I'm hungry and I promised you Teriyaki, didn't I? " Everything felt so--normal. So natural. They have only known each other for such a short amount of time, yet it felt like forever. Not needing another invitation, Emi bounced to her feet, giving a small rock on her heels. " Yeah! And I can treat us to ice-cream, after. " A stern look crossed her features when the other almost seemed to protest, only to grin when she quickly gave in.
It was the least she could do, really. If she was going to treat her to dinner, then it only made sense she treated her to ice-cream. Emi always believed in that kind of system, where each provided for the other. It was how she and her friends went out without worrying about ' who owes who money. '
After gathering their few belongings, the two set out into the summer night. It was nicer here in Washington, compared to California. Even at this time it was still hot down in the valley, and at least here, they were rewarded by the occasional breeze. Being here seemed so surreal, but there was no way she was complaining. They spent their time talking about the most random of things as they walked to their destination, exchanging jokes and scenarios about their characters. The air was filled with their laughter, providing them a sense of happiness.
But in truth, they both knew they could stay indoors all day, cuddled up under a blanket fort, and they would be just as happy.
" You're going to love it here, I tell you, " Nana exclaimed, both a little nervously but just as excited. Emi trailed behind, looking around as she did so, smiling at her. She would not doubt it, even if she wasn't picky, she always enjoyed Japanese food. " It smells great, " she agreed, mirroring her exact emotions. It wasn't like she was uncomfortable, but it was a sad fact that this would be literally her first date in like--ever.
Emi already knew that Nana came here often based off of their many text conversations, but it still amused her how the workers seemed to greet her with a sense of familiarity. When the cashier asked about her ' new friend, ' the lamb gave a small flush, eyes shyly averting. Even so, she did not release her tight hold on Nana's arm. After ordering, they took a seat, sitting on opposite sides of the table.
" Told you it was good, didn't I? " Pride seemed to fill her voice, emerald hues peering past thick frames as she fed her girlfriend another bite. There was something really endearing about eating like this, and neither seemed to care about the other people around them; in fact, they did not even exist to the duo. " Hey, I never doubted you, " Emi declared with a small bubble of laughter, hiding her mouth as she spoke before taking a sip from her drink.
As far as first dates go, however, it went pretty smoothly. it was good--no, amazing.. They did not need to do anything fancy to have a good time. As cheesy as it may be, they just needed each other. After they finished eating, they left the establishment hand in hand, shamelessly so.
It was cooler now and the breeze kissed their skin. Tilting her head back, chocolate hues lifted once more to the darkening sky. The stars were coming out, and it was so much clearer here than back in California. It was hard for her to consider it as home, when her home was right here--with Nana. But she knew that it will be only a matter of time before she can come back here, and for good.
The ice-cream parlor wasn't so far, and Emi treated them both to something nice. Though they could have sat inside, they decided to take their ice-cream to the park on the way back home. It was a nice night out, and though neither of them liked staying indoors, it could not hurt to enjoy themselves while they were already out.
" Nana! " A whine escaped Emi when the ice-cream dribbled over her knuckles, frantically trying to clean it up. It was a bit childish, but she never did so well with sticky. Laughing, the blonde was quick to come to her rescue, taking her hand and cleaned it up with a napkin since she had finished first. " I told you to hurry up before it melted, silly. " Chiding her playfully, she hesitated for a moment before leaning in, giving the other a small kiss along her cheek.
The kiss, no matter how innocent it was, quickly sent the girl into a small, flustered fit. In her surprise, the ice-cream slipped from her hands entirely and fell to the ground. Nana was quick to be plagued with guilt, eyes dropping. " S--Sorry. " Fingers fidgeted in her lap, mentally berating herself. She knew she should not have done that, what was she thinking?
Her lips parted to speak, moving to stand so that they could just head home and pretend this never happened, but a squeak of surprise escaped her when she was suddenly pulled down. The distress was gone, cheeks warm with a flush as Emi wrapped her arms around her middle. She could feel her breath against her neck, and she swallowed, unsure of what to say.
" I love you, Nana, " the older murmured quietly into her skin, fingers latched onto her shirt. " I love you so much. " The kiss had surprised her, but it had made her feel happy. Her heart had picked up in her chest, causing a dull ache, but an ache she wanted to feel now and forever.
Just like that, all her worries had dissipated. It was amazing how Emi could always do that, make all her troubles go away. The sense of doubt and insecurity died down almost instantly, arms wrapping around her as she nuzzled her face into her hair.
I've always thought you were beautiful, personality and looks, and I love you very much. I wouldn't know what I'd do without you, you mean more than the world to me and I can't wait to hold you for myself. Also fuck anon, I'm breaking the rules. ❤

{ 해 은.}-; There was no way she could do it; not again. Letting her tongue run along her rounded lips, she was reminded bitterly. She had too, there was no way out. She was infected and the parasite attached to her core pleaded her on like a child. Maybe--- Just maybe she could find someone else to do it for her? Drinking blood she could get used too. It tasted like the cool moonlight when she closed her eyes.
That was it; she needed a partner, someone that could be her daylight and keep her secrets, but what was she to do? Put out an add? Sinking down the slide she was hiding in, she tired to focus. No one would help her, no one wanted to kill, and those who did wouldn't treat her kindly. Her change happened so recently, human values were stronger than ever.

Letting out a faint cry, the parasite curled up , letting the rest of her frame hide in the slide. Pretend to be a hurt child, lure someone in and go from there, that was the plan.

MOST PEOPLE WERE eager to find out who
they would be tied to, but she could not say she was not
one of them. The thought alone terrified her, made her
shake with anxiety. Emi knew that she wasn't exactly
an ideal person to be involved with, especially emotionally.
She struggled with her own emotions on a daily basis; more
accurately, she had a hard time feeling anything at all. And
that was not exactly fair to the poor, unfortunate soul who
would one day be tied to her.
In truth, she did not think she would have to deal with that
considering how often--or rather, rarely--she went out. For the
most part, she had spent the majority of her time indoors, where
she did not have to deal with people in general. But as it happened,
she bumped into one, quite literally, while she was on a food run.
An embarrassing yelp had escaped her when she collided, face
first into the other, her iced-coffee splattering everywhere, leaving a
sticky residue on her hands and a stain on her clothes. ❝ S--Sorry,
are you okay? ❞ Of all the things to happen, this would. It was the red
string that now connected her pinky with the other's that had caught her
attention fist, and a look of horror was quick to cross her features.
What a lovely cherry blossom tree.
For it to bloom quite early, it of course drew
the attention of many and a certain vampire
miss to sit below it whilst gazing gently to
each pink petal upon the life form.
A deep inhale, a small smile to part from
pinked lips with a small giggle.
Slowly shifting ocean optics to gaze at the
stranger, she couldn't keep herself
from speaking.
