This song is absolutely wonderful, and it is all thanks to the magic of Ghibli.
p.s.: the notes with "!" are base notes in 21 key kalimba, if you have a 17 key kalimba you can still play the song, as they are just accompaniment

Print and download in PDF or MIDI Spirited Away Main Theme (Futatabi). I forgot I transcribed this...lol, whoops. From the Spirited Away (movie anime) OST, the main theme, Futatabi, transcribed for a piano solo. I seriously love this movie...and I don't say that about movies easily (meaning, I recommend it, so please watch it). Hope you enjoy! :) UPDATE (1/10/18): The errors were fixed, and now...well, now it sounds m
Would you guys believe me if I told you i distinctly remember knowing this song’s melody years before I even watched Spirited away or Knew what Studio Ghibli was?
My first Studio Ghibli film was Howl’s Moving Castle and I was I think 16. I didn’t watch spirited away until I was 18 and when I heard that song I was thrown way off because I used to tap it out on the piano when i was like 6 and pretending to be a composer.
Can’t say no to this kind of music.
Today’s such windy day here. This one is more like a Futatabi version.
Just wanted to say how much I really enjoyed reading "Futatabi"! That was really fantastic. Lovely backstories (as far as I'm convinced that was all canon haha; you did such a good job fitting it into the snippets of backstory that we already know) and the illustrations were lovely as well. My absolute favorite thing was how real the characters felt throughout the entire story. I'm very glad I read it! Great job!
aaaaaaAA thank you so much for your nice comment!! ;; One of my main goals as a writer is to try and make pictures out of my words (because I don’t always have the luxury of having them illustrated) so to hear that I have accomplished that makes me feel like I have done my job. We’re both really happy you liked the story and we hope to continue writing more things very soon, especially with spring break being next week.
I need a good working title for the handful of chapters I'm weaving together as a sort of "epilogue" to Futatabi. Tying up loose ends, so to speak.
I was thinking something military/training related because a chunk of it has to do with training under Team Magma and I quite like the term "overwatch", but this seems more befitting of if it was told from Maxie's perspective, not from a narration. It also might work better for that summer fic.
I don't know, do y'all have any ideas?
