"How long have they been dating?" Brain had thought to ask Lauriam or Even directly, but in the end he had cornered Ienzo with the question.
"I'm going to assume you mean Even and Lauriam," Ienzo started and waved a dismissive hand at him. "Even and his Nobody self Vexen were very one in the same. Unlike Lauriam and Marluxia. So putting a date on when Lauriam decided that he and Even were dating is not something I know. What I do know is that Lauriam would not settle down until he found various missing people."
"Like Strelitzia."
"Correct. Once Lauriam had his hands on the data used for bringing Namine back and creating Xion he was unstoppable." Ienzo crossed his arms over his chest. "Strelitzia was an earlier piece."
"Earlier?" Brain questioned.
"A promise to Elrena. Someone to help keep Lauriam in check besides Ven."
Brain scuffed.
"Is there a problem?"
"Ven couldn't keep a dead pigeon in a bag. Let alone contain Lauriam."
"Perhaps the Ven you knew could not but I ask that you do not speak ill of him before me."
"So he has you under his spell as well." Brain rolled his eyes. "He's nothing more than an easy pawn."
Ienzo bristled. "He saved my life."
Brain lowered his gaze. "Oh," he could still save this "Well, that is our job."
"Did Ven do something to you?"
"No. He was where he needed to be. Nothing more and nothing less." Brain replied. "He's only a little kid.”
“From what I’ve seen the Keyblade has a habit of starting destiny with little kids.” Ienzo scuffed. “All it seems to do is destroy. We were better off without it.”
Brain stared at him. Maybe that had been his error. The Dark was only so powerful because they made the Light so. They created such a large shadow. The Worlds that had no idea about the Keyblade did seem more peaceful. “Perhaps, but there’s no going back.”
