Uncle Myzzy’s crash course on caring for Pac-Man
The Squidly family was off on a big trip; Camille was invited to a championship kart race and so she was being escorted by Lee, Callie, and as it was vacation time from school, Nebula was along for the ride as well. Unfortunately circumstances prevented them from bringing along little Pac-Man and with Granny Janine -along with Mooky- traveling abroad there weren’t many options for sitters. That is except for Uncle Blue and Aunt Marie who gladly took him as they were too busy with work to join in following Camille to her race.
The little green squishy was brought to their home by the long-time friend of both families, Myzzy.
Blue was the first to greet his nephew, “Hey there little tater tot, you ready to have some fun with us?” He took hold of one of Pac-Man’s tentacles, much to the little boy’s delight.
“We haven’t looked after you in awhile,” Marie admitted, “But we’re looking forward to it just as much.”
Myzzy spoke, despite his childish sound of voice he seemed oddly serious, “It was been awhile so here’s some things about taking care of little Paccy.”
He started to explain, “He’ll eat just about anything but he really loves pureed peas and carrots so if he’s being fussy add some of that. Also if he’s been a good boy give him some pudding for dessert, just a few spoon fulls, he really loves it.”
Rocking the little squid in his arms, Myzzy continued, “Keep a sharp eye on ‘im at all times, he likes to climb on stuff; Lee and Callie gave him plenty of toys to play with and a bunch of his favorite books.” He patted the baby bag that was slung around his shoulder. “His favorite is Corduroy.”
“Ohh, also, he won’t go to bed without wearing his favorite dinosaur jammies, they’re in here to, and he likes to be sung to sleep; you don’t have to do it well, he just likes to hear it.”
He gave him a little bounce in his arms, eliciting a joyful smile and giggle out of Pac-Man before handing him off to Blue. “He doesn’t really like strangers,” Myzzy informed, “You guys are family so he likes you just fine but if anyone aside from me tries to hold him he might start crying.”
Pac-Man seemed relatively fine in the arms of his related uncle but he still gave a laugh, “Sounds like you know him better than anyone, you should be watching him.”
Myzzy modestly shrugged, “I would be but I got stuff to do, when I’m done I’ll come by later and help look after him.”
Marie confirmed, “We’ll take good care of him in the mean time but who knows if he’ll get by without his favorite uncle, or maybe its the other way around?” She joked, poking fun at their friend’s crazy love for the baby squid.
trying to ignore it, even if it was completely true, Myzzy waved good bye, “Take good care little tater tot.”
In response, Pac-Man simply reached out and babbled, “buh-buh yummy,” making it all the harder for his favorite uncle to go about the business he needed to attend to.
