AGENT FRECKLES DAILY DOSSIER - Edition: Futuristic Houses with Earthly Flair (August 26, 2013)

check out this amazing terrestrial spaceship that is the Futuro Home created in 1968 by Finnish architect Matti Suuronen - designed to be plunked down wherever, it withstands the most blustery wintery elements, can be helicoptered into most any remote location & is then easy to assemble 

for this futuristic design, the architects looked to the past: the pre-industrial pit houses once built by Native Americans

Issues of how comfy it would be to live in a space only a few feet wide, there's no denying this "Live Between Buildings!" design by architects Mateusz Mastalski and Ole Robin Storjohann is inventive and way creative. The "walls" of these micro-homes squeezed into the otherwise-unused space between buildings are made from a material used in skylights, called Fakro and can be configured into a variety of fun shapes, including speech bubbles. 

The pod on the roof is called the "Living Roof" - a compact, self-sustaining & off-the-grid capsule that can function as a city getaway or be easily airlifted long distances.  (source)
