Wish upon a dream

Walking through the beautiful almost autumn forest amilia sulked quietly with nothing but the soft sounds of animals and nature around her to brighten her walk home. A pretty pout was painted softly across her face as she let her thoughts wander off. All through out mating season she saw her family members with their partners, even her father had a mate now. Lily wasnt too happy about it but trish was nice and seemed to care a lot about her dad, though thats not what was plaguing her mind.

She had never had very close friends, besides her cousins, to talk about things like dating or boys. The young pup was almost afraid she'd never find her romeo like in the book she had read for school. But oh how she wanted to, lily would often day dream about him. The love of her life that makes her heart flutter and her knees weak. She always imagined it would happen like in the movies, romantically drawn into each others arms under a starry sky with the moon above them. A soft song playing as they dance together in a field of roses only to end the night with a passionate kiss goodnight.

She sighed feeling like her daydreams would never come true, especially since her father had warned her that reality is not the same as books and movies. Lily huffed stopping by a tree her grandfather often visited during this time of day but he wasn't there. The young wolf girl could really have used his advice right now however she wasnt going to bother him over it.

Just then as lily was about to turn and leave she heard footsteps coming towards her. Quickly jumping to hide behind a bush she hid from view in case it was a hunter, though it wasn't or at least she hoped he wasn't. The tall young man before her seemed to be looking for something or someone in the woods, he was mumbling to himself about being given poor directions. Even though she should be trying to sneak away lily couldn't bring herself to focus as she admired his ruggedly handsome yet soft features. She swooned getting lost in the blue of his ocean eyes that seemed to sparkle like sapphires, leaning forward she watched as the cool breeze blew through his snow white hair. The wolf girl couldnt help but fall for the stranger, seeing as he had all the qualities of a knight in shining armor. closing her eyes she pictured them together holding hands under a sparkling night sky, riding on horse back during the sunrise, confessing their love to each other by candle light. however in her daydreaming she didn't realize she was losing her balance until it was too late and she fell through the bush right in front of the young man. He gasped backing away a bit just as startled as she was after her sudden reveal from behind the bush, lilys heart beat so hard she felt it would burst right out of her chest. Their eyes locked and lily felt her breath quicken when met with the stark gaze of his striking blue eyes, her mouth moved but no words were coming out as her mind scrambled for her to say something; anything!

Bravely he broke the silence since he noticed she was having more than a little trouble doing it herself "and you are?" he asked. Swiftly moving to help her up he extended his hand which she nervously took to stand to her feet and brush the dirt from her skirt "I'm amilia." She simply responded. He smiled chuckling at her bashfulness "well amilia, we barely know each other and you're already falling for me." he smirked smugly brushing a piece of hair from her face. She shyed away blushing as red as a rose unable to respond to his playful flirting. Taking notice of this he leaned in gently lifting her gaze to meet his holding her face by her chin "my names nero, im looking for a certain wolf and was wondering if you could help?" He looked her up and down finding her adorable. Standing so close to him with his scent filling her lungs and his hand caressing her face Lily's mind and body went numb, the most she could squeak out was a meek "....yes." which almost sounded like a swoon.

The smile he gave her released a whole roost of butterflies in her stomach "alright, i knew you would be helpful." nero teased. Lily nervously smiled trying to seem at least a bit normal instead of acting like a strange creep to him their first time meeting. He snaked his arm around her shoulders in a very smooth almost practiced motion "hm lead the way beautiful." He encouraged her. Lily's mind shut off completely as her body froze shaking slightly from the soft touch of his hand and the warmth his body brought. Swallowing hard she closed her eyes trying to hyper focus on where she was leading him rather than how good it felt to be tucked into his embrace. with her eyes still closed she allowed her body to move little by little until they started walking normally, she had almost completely forgot about his intoxicating presence until the wind blew bringing his scent with it. Nero's scent filling her lungs all she could think about was his scent all over her as he held her in his arms showering her with love and affection under a moonlit sky. Her daydream was interrupted by his voice "hey thanks amilia, this is just the place i was looking for." He complimented leaving her side causing her to pout and let out a quiet whimper. Lily watched as he walked inside her house to greet the other tall white haired men who had come over to see trish her stepmother almost daily. She bit her lip listening to their friendly banter from outside the house, she sighed realizing she probably had no chance with him; Maybe she wasnt pretty enough? Maybe he wanted someone braver or stronger? but no matter what it was she knew he would never look her way twice although it was nice to dream.

Mun: well there you have it my first fic posted since I've been back 😊 feels good to be back! Hopefully this is just one of many since i have a lot of fics started but not finished....hehe heres to hoping
