As a hippie chick at heart, it isn't any surprise that the Share Economy (movement) in it’s various forms absolutely vibes with me... so, I can't help but adore this new trend: Cash Mobbing ― it's a derivative of social commerce, fueled by a healthy dose of the social collective.
Maybe I'll call it a Collective Commerce movement...?
No matter what you call it, I think it could have real legs and longevity -- adding a CSR component could help with that, i.e. either the mob or the retailer/brand ensures that a % of sales goes to a local charity/cause.
