Future Reflection | Brickell
There's a sea outside my door And one day I'll appreciate The rush of blood and the washed out beat of the shore
And remember what it felt like To be alone Sitting in the sunlight All alone

I've been thinking lately and
I really want to grow up and stay close to my friends. So that when the holiday season comes around, I’m inviting everyone over to my house for dinners and parties.
It’s a warm atmosphere— we all have spouses gathered round, some best friends married to others, maybe a few new faces joining the group. There’s mingling and banter among the women and roaring laughter across the room from the guys, tossing back drinks. Some of us have kids and we tease the young-one’s that were dragged along, someone’s expecting, “we got a sitter, they’re at home”. We’re talking about our jobs—for some it’s a deadend struggle. Others are thriving like we knew they would. We ask how the folks are— our favorites among Mr. Joe and Mrs. Kelly, PKeff, and Karen.
My friends’ faces may have grown a little older, but when I look around I see familiar smiles. The conversations that once intensely wrought of GPA, class standings, and high school worries transition to frivolous chatter and adult worries. It’s entirely too cliche to imagine a perfect future but I can’t help it.

MGMT - Future Reflections
A song of the Week? It's been forever since the last one, but let's give it a try as I debate whether to post some art I did recently or to wait until I have more done.
let's kick the week off with Future Reflections by MGMT
