Tomorrow Comes - Chapter 6: The most radiant thing

After all I’ve put you through with the 5 possible futures in which Simon did topple the monarchy in Tomorrow Comes y’all really deserve the happy end in this one. You can find it here.

Wilhelm takes a deep breath as he buttons the last two buttons of his dress shirt. His hands are shaking slightly, which isn’t abnormal for him per se, but for once the reason why they’re shaking is a happy one. If someone had told him that he would get married to someone he actually loved and not only tolerated, he’d probably have scoffed at them. As a royal, the choices for him should have been limited. But Wilhelm is, above everything, a stubborn bastard and he’s learned from his mistakes. 

Wilhelm drops the tie in his hand over the back of a chair and walks to the window of his room, surveying the guests already gathering on the lawn to witness this historic moment for Sweden.

Story 2 of Tomorrow Comes is called A beautiful Lie.

Meet future secret agent Simon. You’ll love to hate him and hate that you still love him. As you can see in the chapter notes there are some triggers, so beware! This story is very close to my heart somehow. It was tremendous fun to come up with it and get yelled at by @toffeelemon and @aro-of-artemis and @prince-simon. I could show you their comments in the doc, they are hilarious.

But enough of that. Enjoy, feel free to yell at me. (I am braced for it.) And if you like this version of Simon as much as I do, I could probably be convinced to write more.

Hello, I thought I'd drop a snippet for the next Tomorrow Comes chapter going up tomorrow.

I am looking very much forward to be yelled at for this. This Simon is an ambivalent character. Some love and hate him with an equal measure. The song for this story is "A beautiful Lie" by 30 Seconds to Mars.

Wilhelm’s lips are warm and soft under his and, for the first time, Simon thinks he might have made a mistake; a miscalculation; because at the touch of their lips the feelings he’s buried deep, deep down, come surging back. Wilhelm still smells the same, like expensive cologne and spearmint. It opens the door to a version of Simon that he thought long dead; that he thought had died the moment Wilhelm denied it was him in the video.
