My boyfriend has proposed to me after having lived together for 7 months. We are living in poverty due to bad fortune and abusive families, but we dream of building a safe, happily life together. Would our future together be filled with happiness, or may it only bring years of misfortune?
I assume this is for a reading. Unfortunately I’m not doing readings right now, but I can tell you a spell you can perform and leave you with some well wishes. First the spell:
I recommend looking through this tumblr and finding a sigil that you think best represents what you want from the future - feel free to make your own, you’ll notice most of the ones with “I will…” have sweeping lines and arrows that face outward to the future. Then there are a few things you can do. I would suggest maybe pictures of your families, or items that represent the hardship you’ve been through. Tie a cord around them and cut them up, place them in a bag full of stones and sink them in the river, burn them, just destroy them in a way that feels final - you are cutting ties with the past, burning bridges and starting over. Then gather pictures of the two of you, put them in a box with things that you want for the future - the sigil, coins for wealth, rose petals for romance, notes to one another that detail your love, quartz for protection, whatever you want that represents the two of you and the life you wish to lead. Then put this box somewhere away but safe and significant. Under your bed maybe to keep romance alive, buried in the garden of your first real home together, just somewhere safe that you’ll remember. You can open this box from time to time and add in things that you want - baby shoes maybe if that’s something you might want later, and you can open it and reflect on the notes you wrote to one another, on your love, on your happy memories rather than bad ones. Keep the box, do away with the past. You’re building something new here.
Now the well wishes: The wheel of fortune is always spinning and we are caught on it helplessly sometimes but not as helplessly as we might think. Part of witchcraft is choosing to act, rather than sit passively by while the universe and others make us their playthings. This is one of many chances for happiness in your life. So actively work every day to overcome the past, to doubt your initial reactions, to love and be loved. This is my hope and my advice for you, dear.
