New track from Phonogeist. Future-retro synthwave. Enjoy.
Tonight, for a couple of hours I perused the Dreamwave/synthwave/future-retro genre tags on bandcamp, discovering some new tracks and re-listening to some current favorites. The genre itself can trace its origins to producers and bands such Giorgio Moroder, Tangerine Dream, Goblin, Vangelis, Claudio Simonetti, and John Carpenter's film scores.
Think bladerunner.
I was in the mood to create a DJ setlist of similar songs, stuff with vocals that you could just kinda chill or slowly groove too, I noted the following tracks down - perhaps I'll create a proper mix in Ableton at a later date.
Arms of Mine from Left to Our Own Devices by Le Cassette 75BPM
Mechanical Love from Trevor Something Does Not Exist by Trevor Something 82BPM
Call on You (feat. The Boy and Sister Alma) from Journeys by Timecop1983 85BPM
Ether Drift from Galactic Melt by Com Truise 85BPM
Genesis (Feat. Dana Jean Phoenix) from Metropolis by Nightcrawler 116BPM
Light Again (feat Electric Youth) from Join Us by Le Matos 128BPM
Desire (Feat. Greta Link) from I Am The Night by Perturbator 130BPM
