VIEWZIC 'FUTURE CANVAS' Making Film Part.1
Future/Canvas: The Pop-Up iPad Art Show
Over the weekend we attended 360 | Intersect, and in between sessions everyone was mesmerized by the Future/Canvas exhibition. It features a collection of generative art apps for iPad and other devices that invite the viewer to interact. Examples include bending light through prisms (from Prism HD pictured above), drawing generatively created trees (Artree), and simply transfixing you with a beautiful environment from nature with time-lapse photography (Magic Window).
One benefit to such an art show is its portability, since it only requires 10-15 iPads, and claims it "can be setup in 30 minutes." I came away with a lot of ideas for similar kinds of interactive art, as I'm sure everyone at the conference did.
