WOW – anlässlich des 45. Jubiläums des adidas Superstar bringt adidas nun den Futurecraft Superstar Leather.

Das innovative Futurecraft-Leder, was bei diesem Superstar zum Einsatz kommt, ist aus einer Zusammenarbeit von adidas, Industrie-Designer Alexander Taylor und Schuhdesigner Joachim de Callatay entstanden. Mit Hilfe einer digitalen Frästechnik, die sonst hauptsächlich aus der Metallindustrie bekannt ist, bietet die Futurecraft Technologie das Potenzial Leder genauer als je zuvor auf die individuellen Bedürfnisse des Fußes anzupassen. Aus einem Stück Leder gefertigt bietet das nahtlose Obermaterial Flexibiliät und Stabilität perfekt punktiert. Ein weiterer Vorteil ist damit auch die Verringerung von Klebematerial.

Ziel der Futurecraft Technologie ist es, Sportlern die Möglichkeit auf maßgeschneiderte Lederschuhe zu bieten.

Paul Gaudio kommentierte den anstehenden Sonder-Release des adidas Futurecraft Superstar Leather wie folgt:

“Futurecraft Leather is all about creating something new and unique, out of something familiar. The obsession to create, and a deep emotional relationship with leather, is what unites adidas, Alexander and Joachim. The digitally automated milling process allows us to stretch the limits of our craft, bringing new form and function to an iconic material. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate the 45th birthday of the Superstar.”

Von der Sonderausgabe des adidas Superstar anlässlich des 45. Jubiläums wird es passender Weise lediglich 45 Paare am 7. November bei Dover Street Market in New York, London und Tokio geben.
