Futurestates: Promised Land Directed by Joe Turner Lin & Justin Marshall Refugees from the dystopian future are immigrating to the past, and citizen watch groups have formed to stop them. On his first "border patrol", teenage Jackson must choose between his father's principles and his own sense of humanity.

Interesting short film that premiered in 2013. Even more eerie now with the upcoming U.S. election looming in the not-so-distant future. Noah Galvin does a fine job in a dramatic role.

This short film by American director Ramin Bahrani (Goodbye Solo) traces the epic, existential journey of a plastic bag (voiced by Werner Herzog) searching for its lost maker, the woman who took it home from the store and eventually discarded it. Along the way, it encounters strange creatures, experiences love in the sky, grieves the loss of its beloved maker, and tries to grasp its purpose in the world.
