The Social Media episodes of Black Mirror haunt me on a daily basis. You know the one with the idols and work slaves cycle and the other one with the star rating system 😐
Oh and the one where they sent sentenced criminals into staged danger zones for entertainment.
Ok this is a weird-ass thought but what if there was a “tech-demon” that could manifest into one of the most dangerous computer viruses/malware and could trap anyone exposed to it in a Matrix-esque dimension. Not just humans but other demons as well. Its name? Barb@OS (Barbatos).
This all started with me randomly wondering what would happen if Mephistopheles worked in IT, came across the worst case of a virus-ridden laptop he’d ever seen and Barb@OS turned him into a piece of coding stuck in the computer’s hard drive. Like it just shot out a beam, pixelated him and everything like that. Idk why I thought of any of this but it sounded good.
