In 2006 Joanne Carroll (was Riddle) turned her hand to digital illustration at a summertime UCPD course with the University of Teesside. In 2019, HMP Holme House, Stockton on Tees, commissioned eight of these images for a limited print run to use for a prison walkway renovation. Joanne is currently working as their artist in residence, utilising over 20 years of teaching experience to provide a unique art, design and crafts service to the men in her care.
