He could kill her. The demon literally holds her fragile life in his hands. Black eyes show no emotion, but his face is twisted in sick pleasure.                   alaric tilted his head to the side, looking at his nails calmly. he had no care in the world as he waited patiently. hydrated, fed, he let himself relax in waiting until he felt the presence of the poacher who was soon to come.

                  he stayed dormant until she arrived, knowing all too well that she would. he knew of everyone who entered his jungle and knew of everyone who never lived to leave.

                  “what are you doing here ??” he asked, sensing that the other hadn’t noticed him when she walked past. “i am alaric, god and protector of this jungle and many more. what are you ??”
