Vodka always seemed to turn Lucy into a very mad drunk, and at this moment she was completely wasted off of one too many vodka shots and wanted nothing more than to give Ryder a piece of her mind. She drunkenly dialed his number, huffing as she held the phone up to her ear.
“Ryder,” She started when he answered, her voice tense, “I don’t fucking get you. You act like everything in this world is shitty and you act like you hate every single person you meet but there’s no way that’s true. You’re telling me you never feel happiness? You’re telling me you hate everything about life? Then why are you still here? Leave if it’s so bad.” She didn’t wait for him to say anything, she just kept going. “If you hated me so much, why did you fuck me? If you hated me so much, why did you stay with me on that curb? Also - what did I ever do to make you hate me? I mean, I have every reason to hate you. You broke my best friend’s heart and physically got her beat up. Who the fuck does that? You have problems and I think you need to sort them out because none of us wants to see you like this. People care about you and want to see you happy, why can’t you see that?”
She hung up the phone before walking away.
