For our first portrait from Tel Aviv, we visit the workplace of product designers Andrey Grishko & Shay Nifusi. Believing that the processes of design and manufacturing should go hand-in-hand, they set up their own company, AndreyandShay, four years ago.

Working in Cycles: FvF Workplaces of Markus & Daniel Freitag, Zürich

We visit the brothers Markus & Daniel Freitag at their workplace in Zürich, where they produce their famous FREITAG bags and accessories, made from recycled truck tarpaulins, car seat belts and bicycle inner tubes.

Boatshed Beauty: FvF Meets Jamie McLellan at his Studio, Auckland

Being as close to sea level as possible is an essential requirement for Jamie McLellan's dream location which he has managed to find in a converted boat shed near Auckland, New Zealand.

Inside the product and furniture designer's studio, a floor-to-ceiling window induces an outdoor feel as it reveals the calmness of the surrounding nature. Jamie talks about how designer Tom Dixon has been a great mentor of his, the experiences he has gathered as a longtime expat and the niche design scene of New Zealand, on Freunde von Freunden.

Today his name has become synonymous with an ever developing artistic oeuvre that first emerged from early doodles as a child waiting for the school day to end.
