✨- How did you come up with the OC’s name?

I randomly thought of it, and Marina stuck since then. In universe, she is named after the marina where her parents first met. Her nickname is Chrysanthemum, which is her favorite flower. Her childhood friend group is a nod to the Chinese Four Gentleman, which is comprised of the chrysanthemum, orchid, bamboo, and plum.

🌼 - How old are they? (Or approximate age range)

Early 20s

🌺- Do they have any love interest(s)?

She has been betrothed to Seric Von Plum ever since she was a child. He is the son of her dad's best friend. Unfortunately Marina hates his guts and instead dates and flirts with other people as an act of rebellion. Her logic is if she finds someone richer than Seric, then her parents will call off the engagement. Her crushes are superficial, mostly liking people for their looks and status. She managed to date Liza, but the relationship fell apart because Marina is too crazy and annoying. Despite everything, Nadir is her one true love who is a nice regular commoner.

Chocolate coated flower petals and red velvet desserts

💼 - What do they do for a living?

Noblewoman as determined by her family's legacy. Pirate when she became crazy. Mercenary during her runaway arc.

🎹 - Do they have any hobbies?

Bossing people around, eating sweets, being hot, shooting, fencing, and joyrides

Really really good at shooting

🥊 -What do they love to do? What do they hate to do?

She loves joyrides from sailing, flying, and driving. She hates being bossed around by people or forced to hang out with annoying people.

❤️ - What is one of your OC’s best memories?

The day she first met Nadir as a child and when she first met Liza at school

✂️ - What is one of your OC’s worst memories?

When Liza defeated her in battle thus making her become tainted. When she couldn't convince her parents to undo the engagement with Seric

It's the final design for her tainted arc. She has gone through many design changes. Funnily enough my brain defaults to her with the short gray hair even though the look is temporary. I guess I haven't designed her post-redemption or post-timeskip. There are still many designs to do.

🍀 - What originally inspired the OC?

She has an inspiration chart with lots of mean bitchy girls. Special shout out to Tinker Bell, Azula, Princess Morbucks, and Panty Anarchy. There are also some retroactive inspirations that were unintentional. She is similar to Mitsuru Kirijo from Persona3, except no niceness.

High fantasy with gothic post-apocalyptic stuff

Cis bi

1 younger sister that she treats as a minion

🍎 - What is the OC’s relationship w/their parents like?

Good relationship. Her parents doted and spoiled Marina as a child. They put up with Marina's antics cause as long lived elvenlike people, it's best to let her let the energy out of her system until she tires out and wises up. They never foresaw her making a pact and becoming evil. Marina is a daddy's girl that pretends to hate her mom but secretly does love her.

🧠 - What do you like most about the OC?

She's really fun to meme and has interesting dynamics with many of my OCs as the crazy one contrasting with the straightman. I also like her design a lot.

✏️ - How often do you draw/write about the OC?

Just like Ruby I think about and meme her every day. Writing and drawing happen when inspiration strikes.

💎 - Do you ever see yourself killing off the OC?

No. Nadir will not allow that.

💀 - Does your OC have any phobias?

Failure and that she's completely irredeemable. She's doubles down on being annoying because no one gives her a chance to change, see her for who she really is, or understand her actual needs.

🍩 -Who is your OC’s arch-nemesis or rival?

Theda Thorne for trying to seduce Nadir. Derrick for being Liza's younger brother. Moriti for not putting up with her bullshit. War for betraying her. Elmindreda Endymion for absolutely no reason. Skurret just for being ugly. She beefs with a lot of people.

I don't remember the exact age. Some time in high school.

7. What's one way your OC has changed since you first came up with them?

The way she cares for Dolcetto is different. When I first came up with the Acerbi siblings, like, pre-Italian Affairs, in a vacuum, in like summer of 2014, she was way more concerned with Dolcetto's grumpyness and overall his entire demeanour. I can vaguely remember that she babied him a lot more than she still does.

These days, the Acerbi siblings are a lot more well-rounded and realistic in their relationship with each other and all their issues. Gabriella thinks she has to protect her little brother from harm, which includes all the one he causes himself. She thinks she has to save him from himself or she won't have a brother anymore. She thinks she has to undo all the damage her parents have done. Dolcetto, meanwhile, thinks he just has to thrive on his own, be independent and deliver results. He's the reason Rella threw her life away, so she shouldn't care for him anymore. If he distances himself from her, then he can't hurt her.

15. Does your OC have a faceclaim? If so, who?

Never had a faceclaim for Rella. Most of my OCs don't, unless I need a reference as a starting off point.

22. What character alignment would you consider your OC to be?

Iiii do not know enough about DND or wherever that stuff came from to answer this correctly, I'm afraid. I mean, they are all on a spectrum of evil for the mafia thing, right? In other AUs, where I can judge her more by character ... Lawful Good/Lawful Neutral to Neutral Good?

23. What emotion is the hardest for your OC to process? How about express?

It may be disappointment for both. It is certainly the hardest to express - Rella can rage, Rella can cry, Rella can admit she is upset but. The cold and harsh void of admitting to yourself and voicing to yourself and others: 'This is not what I wanted. I wanted something else and I now I grief what I can not have. I had expectations and they were not met, wishes and they didn't come true.' If disappointment is easier for her to process and admit to herself, then she struggles a lot with indifference. I think it confuses and scares her greatly to realize she just doesn't care about things she feels everyone should care about. Having that reaction to indifference is not great for a gangster! Which is why everything gets sublimated into righteous rage and love!!!

ive been getting a kick out of this type of ask lately on my end, so what kinds of wips are you working on rn?

Oh damn! Too many!!!! (Also I fell asleep writing this, sorry ;-;)

Firstly, there is my comic about Eyris. I am so!!!!! about it. I want to talk about it so much but I dont want to spoil it, AUGH!!! And I am already working on scripts for other events like Airell meeting Achilles, for example. Sadly comic production takes very long on my end since I'm just one person with a full time job that has a lot of unregulated working hours to do at home. So I'm taking my time :3 a sneakpeek at a page thats gonna come out (hopefully) soon!!

I am also working on my Wayfarer IF main, Risha. I am trying to make him more serious, less juvenile, basically I've been putting him in situations and writing his lore for many days weeks....just in my head. One day when I settle down on what I want I want to write it all down. It still counts as a wip, right? .....right....?

As for art... well I can't show everything or I will be banished to the shadow realm (somehow ive found myself practicing smut) but!!! From most recent pieces:

Since I'm on my phone I can't really show it but I'm also working on an art of Eyris and her evil twin a fractal Eyris. They despise each other and one is about to kill the other.

And besides those wips, I have a sky-reaching pile of "to draw" ideas.
