Another cake I made. I was requested for a Dungeons and Dragon's cake with at least a D20 on it. So I turned the cake into a spell book. Name is blurred from the cake.

That Time of Year Again
It's November so it's time for me to start parceling out all my pre measured ingredients in preparation of Cookie Hell. This is a picture of a previous year so, no worries, I haven't started exploding Christmas everywhere YET.
Meant to post these earlier, but these were the cookie designs for the Christmas tins i gave out this year. Made around 220 sugar cookies this year.
Made an ambitious cake and very much regretting not taking pictures of it before transporting it to the party. Word of advice to anybody trying to make fancy attachments to a cake for the first time. Always take your pictures before transport. If you can make it work, assemble the layers at location to avoid structural failure. And even a short trip out into the summer heat to move the cake is gonna make your frosting start to melt. Which is bad when it's acting as the glue holding your cake together.
Tried making the mansion from the first Luigi's Mansion for my nibling's birthday. Obviously had to take some liberties like the missing chimneys and the door access on the roof, but the cake would have been too tall for my container. And obviously the colors are little wonky because food coloring mixing is a finicky science and I only had so much time and frosting to test out colors. Oh well, the cake was enjoyed. And I got them Luigi's Mansion 2 HD for their present.
Oh and the first 3 picture were taken by my sister. You can tell because they're off centered. But she was able to get her phone faster than me when we noticed the cake was starting to fall apart. We tried to save it with toothpicks, but it was too far gone.
For anybody interested in a complete shot of all six cookies I made for @janeelyakiri. From left to right we have Cross, Dust, Nightmare, Killer, Horror, and Polly at bottom center. These are sugar cookies made with a family recipe using a gingerbread man cookie cutter, one tube of precolored black frosting, piping bags with hand mixed colored frosting, four different packs of sprinkles all placed individually with tweezers, and many toothpicks to draw details.
Cross belongs to @jakei95 Dust belongs to @ask-dusttale Nightmare belongs to @jokublog Killer belongs to @rahafwabas Horror belongs to Sour Apple Studios @horrortalecomic Polly belongs to @janeelyakiri
Been a while since I posted one of my cakes. Honestly I'm probably shooting my self in the foot by posting my newer stuff instead of my older ones. Because the quality difference really shows between my old work and my newer ones. Not just from technique but the fact I didn't have as many fancy tools for decorating.
