“Yuki…”
Ah, right, that was her name, wasn’t
it? Akura had to admit, it was a very
pretty name, and it tasted sweet and
quiet on his tongue…
Ah, but how had they gotten into this situation? Well, he’s not quite sure, but even with the rattling of the train on the tracks, there’s a nice kind of quiet in the nearly empty train car. Wait, surely that was it, wasn’t it? He, being Akura, had thought it’d be a marvelous idea to start a conversation with someone he didn’t really know. He’d seen her before on his train, and maybe she’d seen him, but they’d never actually talked -
Well - it was alright in the end, Yuki seemed to be a nice girl, even if it was getting harder and harder to remember what they’d even spoken about, considering how late it was at night. Steadily throughout the train ride, Akura had felt his eyelids drooping more and more until -
Ah, but there was a weight on his shoulder.
Had she really fallen asleep on him?
But even if he hadn’t known her for very long, there was something warm and quiet and comfortable about this moment, on a train late at night in a nearly-empty train car, and the moment tasted as sweet as Yuki’s name. So with another stifled yawn, he let his head drop onto the one on his shoulder and sighed.
”Hey, Yuki…” Of course, she was asleep, and she couldn’t actually respond, but even then, his heavy tongue still moved, clumsily forming words - “Hey, Yuki… You’re very pretty, you know….”
The words were just a bit slurred, even to his own ears, and Akura gave one final yawn before finally letting his eyelids slip shut on the quiet night.
