The PL600 plodded along leaving behind a deep blue trail of thirium with every weary step. The blue blood was dripping out from several gouges along his body. His left leg was partially disconnected at the knee but he could move it enough to walk despite the wires it kept pulling taunt with every step.
He had to stop soon, recharge what little he could of his energy reserves. There was a dilapidated building down the street-- he had noticed it on his GPS-- but would he make it in time?
His arms reached up, slick bloodied hands grasping the top of the wooden fence to pull himself up. What would otherwise be barely any effort took a lot of effort to climb over them. His bad leg’s foot almost got stuck and he all but fell onto the soft grass. Going through backyards was tough but a good way to get around at night where he wouldn’t be seen as suspicious to any straggler on the streets. Of course the only problem was dogs, but he couldn’t hear nor see any of them.
Daniel’s LED blinked red furiously as he struggled to push himself up.
