Usually I have a strict rule about only posting craft related stuff here, and at least 90% of that is fibre arts. However, today I am breaking my own rule to share the wonderful artwork for my daughters campaign to be Community and Welfare President at her university. She has a very talented friend, who she has known since schooldays, who has painted/drawn her many times over the years (each time being more work as Em gets more tattoos!) and she has done a wonderful job of the image for the campaign. You can find links to her artwork on her blog http://himitsunotebook.tumblr.com/
I am so proud of Emma and the work she has already put in to get this campaign together. She has a busy week ahead of her as the election progresses but I know she is up to the challenge. She would make an excellent Community and Welfare president and really work hard to make positive changes. Whatever the outcome of the election, this has been a great experience for her and it’s been wonderful seeing her grow in confidence since deciding to run.
And, of course, if you or anyone you know goes to Falmouth University in Cornwall, please share this. It’s important that students know these elections are being held and that they have a voice in what happens at their place of learning.
