Guys, im in love
#8 kissing prompt just screaaaams Aster.
8. Laying a gentle kiss to the back of the other's hand
(Copy paste is being very rude right now! *grumblegrumble*)
It took me a minute, but I figured out what I wanted to do for this one. It's graduation season and that means Professor Aster has at least one fancy grad dinner to go to. Obviously he needs a date.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
You'd intended to have Aster pick you up at your home to go to the banquet, but of course life got in the way. I'll have to meet you there, you'd texted him, anxiety knotting in your stomach.
Of course. Not a problem. See you then.
Not for the first time, you wished tone could be conveyed in text. Was he disappointed? Was he really okay with it? Your anxiety only built as you dressed (was this fancy enough? too fancy? did your hair look okay? You hadn't had nearly enough time to really get ready...would people notice?) Between that and the traffic getting to the university, and then the crowds there, you were an absolute ball of nerves by the time you got to the banquet hall.
Luckily, Aster was easy to spot, being taller than most of the other guests. That also made it easy for him to spot you and by the time you locked eyes on him, he was already moving toward you. Stars he looked good! The man should wear a tux more often! His gold glasses glinted on his skull and his eye lights twinkled behind them.
"You made it," he said, taking your hand in both of his. "I am so glad." He lifted your hand to his teeth and pressed a gentle tingling kiss to your knuckles.
You stepped forward and hugged him, mostly so your knees wouldn't go out from the sheer romance of that move. "Sorry I was a little late," you managed.
"I told you it's not a problem," he said, his voice gentle and warm. "I would wait far longer than I did to see you looking so beautiful, and to have you here with me."
"I thought your brother was the smooth one," you mumbled, burying your face in his chest to hide your burning blush.
"I may have picked up a few tips from him..." If you'd been able to see his face, you would have seen the bright blush across his own cheekbones. "Shall we go in for dinner?"

🟢 The Isekai Bride of Skeletons chapter 15🟢
Once again @teasnarker92 posted a new chapter and this one made me so excited for the next oneeee
Aster🧩:“The Serif Family Won’t Care. Why Should You?”
🦈D:“I’m not a Serif family member. This wouldn’t just… go away for someone like me!
Aster🧩: you could be
D paused.
🦈D:“I… beg your pardon?”
How about makeout interrupted with Aster XD
"If anybody asks," you said with a smirk, "the mistletoe was there the whole time." You gestured at the green sprig hanging in the air above you.
Aster grinned. "Naturally," he said. "And since it has been there this whole time, I am required to kiss you."
"It's tradition," you agreed. "No way around it."
You stood on tiptoe and wrapped your arms around his neck. Aster leaned down a bit to press his teeth to your lips. His magic tingled on your mouth and then all up and down your body. His fingers caressed your cheek and tangled in your hair. You both lost yourselves in the moment. The world shrank to just you and Aster. It was absolutely--
"Whoa! Sorry! Did not expect to see you two in here!" G's voice broke the beautiful silence.
Aster pulled away from you and you made a soft little moan of protest. You kept your eyes shut, trying to cling to the feelings that were slipping away.
"Get out," Aster snapped.
"Sorry, sorry!" You could hear G backing away. You could also hear him trying to muffle a snicker. "Just didn't think I've ever find my bro making out with someone."
"There's mistletoe," Aster said. "It's tradition."
"Sure. Right. Sorry." G's footsteps faded away.
Aster sighed. "I"m sorry, my love," he said. "I thought this would be private enough."
You sighed too. "Nothing is ever private enough around here," you muttered. "We need to get away..."
To your surprise, Aster smiled. "I have been thinking the same thing," he said. "I was going to give these to you later, but I suppose my brother has given me a good excuse to give them to you now." He pulled out a pair of tickets. "We leave on the 30th."
You didn't even read the tickets. You knew that wherever he'd chosen to take you was going to be fantastic. For now, you threw your arms around his neck and kissed him fiercely. You didn't even care if someone walked in on you. There was mistletoe overhead. It was tradition.
Meet cute at a flower shop with Aster!
@isnt-that-something also asked for this one!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"No, no," your sister said over the phone, "sunflowers in December is totally wrong! Don't they have anything Christmassy? Poinsettias or red roses or something? It's a Christmas wedding!"
"I asked them." Four times. "They said it's too close to the holiday to order that many poinsettias, and they don't have that many roses in red, but they've got a bunch of colors. Just not all red."
"But that's what I want!" Your sister's normally sweet voice was turning whiny. "I'm the bride!"
"I know..." You had to force yourself not to sigh. "I'm doing my best."
Your sister did not hold back on the sigh. It practically knocked you down over the phone. "Well maybe your best isn't good enough," she snapped. "Maybe I'll just come down there myself!"
"You do what you want," you said, thoroughly done with her. "I'm going to get some lunch. I'll see you at home." You hung up on her before she could say anything else.
Now you could sigh. You put your phone away and ran a hand over your face. Who had decided to let your sister have a Christmas wedding? Why hadn't the family bonded together to veto it? Seriously! This was going to ruin the holidays for years to come.
A bony finger tapped you on the shoulder and you jumped about a foot in the air.
"Oh my," a quiet voice said, "I didn't mean to startle you. I do apologize."
You turned. The speaker was a very tall skeleton with glasses taped to his skull. He looked at you sheepishly. "I do hope you don't mind my eavesdropping," he said, "but I might have a solution to your flower problem. If, er, you're amenable to help from a stranger. You don't have to be. I know it's not polite, listening to other people's phone calls, but I really couldn't help overhearing, and as I said, I might have a solution."
You blinked at him, trying to understand what exactly he was saying. "What kind of solution?" you asked.
His cheekbones flushed with color. "Oh, well, er, I have a cousin who has a greenhouse," he said. "He grows lots of things, and he grows them quite quickly, and he was just telling me that he's got too many poinsettias. I could, er, put you in touch with him, if you wanted. And then, er, maybe, if you could get the poinsettias from him, you could still get the roses from here and just take all the different shades of pink and red they've got? If you arrange them correctly, they'll all look similar, and the effect could be quite striking! If that would please, er, whoever was you were talking to?" He rubbed a hand over his skull.
Again, it took you a moment to sort through everything he'd said. Once you finally got it, you felt a smile blossom on your face. "I'll have to check with my sister," you said, "but I think you might have saved my Christmas."
"Really?"
"Hopefully." You held out a hand to him. "I'm Y/N, by the way."
"Aster." He shook your hand heartily, his cheekbones still flushed. "I'll, er, I'll call my cousin for you?"
"That'd be great. But after lunch."
"Lunch?"
"Yeah. I'm heading out to get something. Why don't you come with me and call your cousin after lunch? I'll pay. I'm going to owe you."
"Oh...Er...well, all right. If you're sure."
