“Emily?” Castiel called around the park. It wasn’t the first time that he and Dean’s daughter had gone on play dates since she had come to live with him. But this was the first time that they had gone to a place outside the bunker without one of the Winchesters. He looked around the place, and checked under the slide, but she was no where to be seen. Then he saw Spencer sitting under the steering wheel. “Emily!” He shouted.
“Excuse me, Sir?” A woman approached Castiel with her child in tow. “You’re daughter was here playing with my son earlier, and he said that she left a little while ago.” She seemed so nonchalant for someone telling him that someone had kidnapped Emily, but Castiel assumed that she didn’t realize that.
“Thank you,” Castiel said, picking Spencer up and pulling out his ringing cellphone. “Hello, Sam.”
“Hey, Dean and I need to go on this hunt, we will be out a few days. Will you and Emily be okay?” Sam asked over the phone, completely unaware that his niece was now missing.
“Uh, yes. Yes we will be completely fine,” Castiel lied to Sam, not wanting the Winchesters to panic. He hung up on Sam, and dialed a different number. One he never thought he would call again.
“Why hello, Darling,” Crowley cooed at the angel over the phone. “Did you lose squirrel?”
“No, but I did lose someone and I need your help,” Castiel rolled his eyes. He couldn’t believe he was making this phone call.
“Well,” Crowley said and Castiel turned and hung up his phone as he saw Crowley sitting on the park bench near him. “Nice rabbit. Who did you lose?”
“Emily left with someone else,” Castiel answered as he stood in front of the demon.
“Wait,” Crowley started laughing hard before taking a moment to catch his breath. “You lost a little girl? Dean Winchester’s little girl? Oh this is worth my time!”
“She wouldn’t leave without a fight unless she knew the person or thought someone else was in danger. Can you help me,” Castiel ask tucking Spencer under his arm.
“Oh, fine, I’ll ask my minions to look for Squirell-ette.” Crowley waved his hand dismissively.
“Hello?” Castiel answered his phone as Dean called him.
“Yeah, me and Sam are about to head out on this hunt, I was hoping you and Emily would be back soon. So I could say goodbye before the hunt.”
“Oh, well, Emily wanted to stop and get Ice cream before we came back to the bunker.” Castiel disregarded the smirk on Crowley’s face as the angel lied to the Winchesters once again.
“Oh ok, well tell her I will see her soon, and to not be a brat.” Dean said before hanging up.
“You haven’t told the Winchesters that their newest family member is missing?” Crowley stood up and straightened his suit.
“No, and we aren’t going to,” Castiel pointed his finger at the demon as he spoke.
“Sir,” A demon was standing near Crowley suddenly and whispered something in his ear, then disappeared just as quickly.
“Well,” Castiel asked impatiently.
“The good news is I know where she is. But getting her back is going to be hard. A very powerful monster has her,” Crowley said grimacing.
“Rowena, you need to let me take Emily back to the bunker,” Castiel tried to reason with the old witch.
“I shall not see this precious gem raised by such ruffians as the Winchesters. I’ve just proven that they can’t keep her safe and that you are not to be trusted,” Rowena said grandly in her mansion. Emily was in a different room playing as the three of them talked.
“She has a target on her back, the safest place for her is in the bunker,” Castiel tried again.
“Hardly,” Rowena said which a chuckle. “She’s perfectly safe with me, Dear.”
“Forgive me if I don’t believe that.” Castiel responded.
“Miss Rowna,” Emily came out from the room looking at the red-haired witch.
“Ro-wen-a, Dear” She corrected sweetly.
“Miss Rowena, I’d very much like to go with Mr. Castiel. He has Spencer, and I miss him a lot,” Emily said looking longingly at her rabbit. “I also miss my daddy. But I had a lot of fun playing with all your really nice toys. Maybe we can have another tea party soon?”
“We will have to see what you father says,” Rowena wiped nonchalantly at the corner of her eye and subtly flicked away the tear. “Go,” She told Castiel.
“Daddy!! You’re back!” Emily cried in job as Dean and Sam finally came back from their hunt.
“Hey, princess. Were you good?” Dean asked.
“Yes, very good. Me and Spencer built a fort, although that seems a little re-dumb-dent inside the bunker,” Emily mused. “Can Miss Rowena come over and have another Tea Party with me and Spencer? She said you had to say it was okay. Her house is really big and nice.”
“Rowena?” Dean and Sam asked in anger and confusion as they looked from the little girl up to Castiel. The angel had no words and simply shrugged.
