I love your post about Rowena being Hecate. However there's a slight mistake in it (and it doesn't really undermine the conclusion) : in the Supernatural world, Archangels are portrayed as being stronger than gods (just not stronger than the judean/christian/muslin god), as is demonstrated by Lucifer in 5x19.
Oh hello! First of all, thank you for reading my meta - it warms my heart to hear that you liked it!
Second if all, I’m sorry I took so long to answer, I’m just lazy to check my inbox and I wanted to make this longer so I...forgot about it.
I’ve thought about this and to be honest - I don’t think that’s what happened? Archangels are insanely powerful beings, but one showdown where we didn’t even know the odds and it was all kinds-of iffy is not enough for me to assume that an archangel would be more powerful than a norse/greek/egyptian/etc g-d.
It may have been implied, but I’m coming off from what I think would be the balance in an universe where all religions exist alongside each other.
And even of we actually try to compare their powers, how do you measure an archangel’s strength vs a g-d’s?
We do know the power of archangels and what they can do, but how can you measure something vague and unimaginable up to a power of, for example, Kyrkogrimmen, who we also know quite a bit about, but his power is, yet again, vague and unimaginable. (I forgot this one isn’t in spn but ah, well, whatever.)
I do appreciate the ask, but I don’t think it is a mistake - Death Of the Author or not, each of us create our own interpretation, and if that one is yours, well that’s ok!
Thank you for the ask!
