The stars are the same everywhere you go, but in some places they shine brighter. This is one of Kayla’s favorite things about travelling. Each place shows off differently. But in this room in Spain that the two of them share, the stars shine beautifully over the balcony. It’s two in the morning and Kayla knows she should be sleeping, but her mind is racing far to much. She sneaks over to the bed, lightly shaking Gina’s shoulder. “G, come on, you have to see this,” she pleads, looking toward the window. She drags the blonde outside with her into the warm night air to look at the shimmering of the sky. A grin crosses Kayla’s face. She can’t remember feeling so happy. Travelling was so much nicer with friends. Travelling was so much nicer with Gina there. “Look how gorgeous it is.” Kayla stares up at the sky, leaning her head onto Gina’s shoulder. “I don’t think it could get much better.”

I haven’t seen Gina much lately, and I wish she had been there when everyone found out about my relation to Hazel. She was the only one besides Lily who had known, and she took it far better than the rest at Whittemore. The circumstances were much different though, and I suppose I could understand why everyone reacted the way they did. Gine is a sweet girl, and I’m glad I haven’t seen her because that could only mean she is safer than most from what is happening. I trust her, and if I do see her again we’ll have to talk more.
