I wish Devcon is a Brand New Figure instead of being a Retool of Blurr

I don't know these characters, and i don't know if the characterization in their Universe profiles actually matches their G1 cartoon depictions, Jetfire's/Skyfire's certainly doesn't, Devcon doesn't have one, and Cosmos' has little substance). But basically, according to said profiles;
Powerglide — Enjoys showing off. Prideful about his ability to fly, his overconfidence often gets him in trouble with enemy jets. Wants people, enemies or allies, to think highly of his skills.
Warpath — Overestimates/has too high an opinion of himself. More concerned with showing off than he's with the other Autobots, or at least it seems like that. His boisterousness, loud-mouthedness, and a raucuous sense of humor make him welcome company and make him good at lightening up situations. In what i'm convinced is a dick joke, he's very proud of his tank barrel and doesn't take even a scratch well, and would get depressed if it was actually damaged.
Perceptor — Has an endless thirst for knowledge which he seeks above all else, and Earth is a goldmine of new stuff for him. His job is to study Earth for the Autobots. He's absent-minded and has poor awareness of his surroundings when doing his thing. Good-natured and friendly, but unlikely to join the other Autobots in non-work stuff. (So the profile doesn't really give him personality besides autistic-coding and being nice)
Seaspray — Enthustiastic about his navy job and Earth's sea and the life in it, Cybertron doesn't have this kind of a thing. Prefers his hoverboat altmode and being in water to his bot mode/being on land. Loves the thrill of battle, and the risk of drowning if his altmode is damaged apparently only makes it better.
Blades — Street-fighter type who thirsts for up-and close violence, which to his anger he isn't getting because he's the air support. Considers long-range air attacks unsporting and cowardly, and would rather be spoattered with the blood of his enemies.
Except for Perceptor, these people are all pretty similiar actually. Not sure if the G1 canon had any depth.
Though at least this gives me an idea for G1 SG au Warpath; Shy, quiet, perhaps scared, tries to make himself small.
Ooo okay okay makes sense
There is no way that's not a dick joke. Like. That's gotta be.
You're right on most of them except Percy being pretty similar, I feel like for SG Perceptor there is a lot of fun to be had leaning into the Mad Scientist character. I am biased because I love Mad Scientist characters.
That'd probably be a good bet for SG Warpath
Devcon VS Sixshot, Two Transformers who only Appeared in ONE G1 Episode and Never showed Up Ever Again
(I Know Sixshot became a Prominent Main Character in Transformers the Headmasters Anime But I Doubt anyone Transformers Fans Outside of Japan even Knew about that before going to the Internet)
What if this for baseline Devcon's color scheme, to fit Cromar's transformation scheme?
(Still not sure how to SG it)
(See how his back wing is red?)
That would be an interesting swap, and it's distinct enough you can tell a difference!
G1 SG au: Unsure about this color scheme for SG Devcon.
Also see where the body parts go on Cromar, who Devcon would be a redeco of. I'm not syre about the implication that baseline Devcon would be completely blue either, but the legs become the hulls...
Yeahhh I can see why you're unsure of it
G1 SG au: I think Cosmos also traveled space a lot, so maybe he could be on the Autobot Earth team? And Devcon who was being a bounty hunter somewhere else in the baseline universe?
That still leaves about 9 spots in the Ark crew that need to be filled, so the number is something like the baseline Ark's crew and about equal to Nemesis' crew.
Hmmm ok ok
