[ponyology]

The Core Six

Inspired by a handful of ponies from the G1 MLP Show, the Core 6 are loosely the main characters of the project! They each have their own lives that often overlap with one another, though they can still often be seen in their own groupings with other ponies (ex: Shady Sky being seen with Bluster "Gusty" Gust).

Sweet Stuff = Unchanged

Surprise = Surprise Party

Galaxy = Galaxy Dust

Wind Whistler = Unchanged

Buttons = Bobbin Buttons

Shady! She's a so soft pony and she's my favorite of my g1 ponies so far. I wish I had some sunglasses for her to wear tho lol. Also her hair glows

A Reimagined G1 Shady

I watched the '86 MLP Movie recently, and her pessimistic fail girl ways captivated me... Was really sad to find out she was never used in any later Gens! Sooo... Now she's an optometrist! She usually keeps her shades atop her head but I wanted to show how her mane works. The markings on her face are natural!

I relate to Shady a lot... My favourite thing is that her friends know she struggles with self esteem and anxiety, and they work hard to contradict her when she gets sad! They might get a little short with her, but in the end their message is “You’re not a bad person, and everything’s gonna be fine.” I love that <3
