Ack, thank you for saying so, sweet stuff. I just spent at least an hour editing the two worst offenders (Chapters 8 and 9) and removing copious examples of “felt like” “seemed like” and so many instances of overwrought romanticism and adverb/adjective abuse... what did those poor, innocent words ever do to me, huh??? Why I gotta treat them so bad??

(Because, after years and years of nothing, I’ve only been writing - and reading - seriously again for a few months, and shouldn’t beat myself up so damn much for my early efforts...) 

Feel slightly better about it now. But. It’s a work in progress. Bleh. I’m learning a lot as I go.
