soooo the todd fic is called lie down with dogs, and it's an enemies to lovers conspiracy thriller fic that i cooked up when i accidentally fell down a super deep rabbit hole after watching that (very unhelpful, if i may add) fuckass bama rush documentary. i do have to add that it's an oc fic just like the others because i am just incapable of writing an x reader fic (i get lost when i have to use "you").

here's the premise:

Trouble stirs up in Sumpter College's Greek Row when multiple reports of hazing incidents start popping up mysteriously, threatening the houses' best kept secrets and traditions.

Kappa Nu Alpha president Todd Stevens finds his prime suspect in Parker Whittaker, who seems hell bent in taking all of Greek Row down, including him.

soooo basically, it's kind of like a mess of frat politics, secret societies, a little bit of espionage and noir, all mish-mashed into a slightly chaotic plot, kind of what i wish i could've seen more of in the movie. todd was literally gone for most of the gd thing and the whole time i was wondering huh where the fuck is todd??? he's literally the president????? isn't he SUPPOSED TO BE THERE???? so i set it during the events of the film (and a little bit after), to fill in the blanks of where his highkey irresponsible ass was and what he was doing.

i didn't really initially plan to write it as a conspiracy thriller, but i knew the second i laid eyes on todd stevens that his fic was going to be enemies to lovers (which i very very rarely write). i feel like someone has to be mean to him. he needs to be picked on. to be told to shut the fuck up. his fuckass quarter zip and speeder sunglasses combo needs to be made fun of. just to humble him yk?

him and parker have kind of a comedic dynamic to me where they both annoy the shit out of each other but also where she kind of freaks him out a little. i like when my ocs are a little bit creepy and unsettling. i also think it's so fucking funny to pair that kind of character up with a frat boy.

i'm super late because this has basically been almost a year in the making (and it's still not published lmfao), but at the time when i was first outlining it, there was one (1) fic in the tag, and the others that followed over the next few months were x reader fics where reader is too nice to him and everything is so cute and happy, and i just had a lot of feelings about that because if reader was a real g they would've been bullying the fuck out of todd. i mean it's lowkey his choice to become president of a fuckass frat. it's like he was written to trigger A++ quality misandry in a manhater's brain when you think of him.

the prologue (that i have already written half of) will be up probably once my schedule frees up and i finally finish another chapter of p&p. but while you wait, i will leave you with a (kind of long) snippet where they lowkey have a bitch-off.

it's wild how people will brag about having a 9-5 and therefore don't have time to learn context for super inflammatory posts on here and yet they still reblog the posts? that they have no context for? just to brag about being ignorant of said context? i know they are too self centered to realize it but like that's just so irresponsible. "this sounds bad so i'll spread it even without knowing why or who is involved." transmisogyny is so ingrained that there's no instinct to fact check or anything. just reblog it even while you admit you have no idea what's going on
