A/N: I’M BAAAAACK! Some lines are taken directly from mentioned post, but the rest is 100% mine. Requests are OPEN!
At first, he’s going to act human. Not many humans will ever know that he is actually an angel. You’ll fall for his sass; the way he can turn anything into a joke, the way he lights up whenever you laugh, and his not-going-to-take-anyone’s-shit attitude. His eyes will mesmerize you. The way the sun hits them juuuust right and the flecks of goldish-brown that dance just for you.
He will spoil you. You will think that it’s because he gets you, which he does, but that’s because he can read your mind. This will annoy you whenever you are upset with him because he will always win arguments simply because he already knows what you are going to say and why you’re mad.
He’ll tell you that he’s an angel before you make any physical contact because he wants to be the one to tell you, not his body. When you first go to run your hands through his hair, his halo will slice your palm. It will hurt. He’ll heal you immediately, and leave before you even get a chance to process what just transpired. He will be gone for a week. You will ask yourself what you did wrong. You will pray to him and tell him how sorry you are because you will think that you disrespected him in some way because you don’t understand. Later, he will tell you that he didn’t realize how fragile humans are. When he explains what it takes to make an angel bleed, you will begin to understand.
He doesn’t eat. This will throw a wrench in your plans for date night when he spends the entire meal watching you, and not eating. You will ask him why he hasn’t touched his food and he will take a single bite, for you. Little do you know that he doesn’t taste how the spices in the sauce come together to deliver the best taste you’ve ever experienced. He will only taste the molecules, and they don’t taste great, but he’ll do anything to please you.
He’ll take you places that you never even knew existed. Nauru being one of them, when you look up the country you will see that only 200 tourists visited in 2011. Gabriel will take you there because it’s quiet and the coral reefs are loaded with exotic wildlife so you will go snorkeling here. Kyrgyzstan is a country trapped between mountain ranges so the locals mostly ride horseback. Gabriel will jokingly ask you if you want to play kyz kuumai, a local game where a man on horseback tries to steal a kiss from a woman on horseback, and if he fails she beats him with a whip.
Ask him about the things you love, like the cosmos. He’ll tell you how amazing it looks and how it was all made if you want to know. He’ll take you to the darkest place on Earth so you can look up and see more stars than you could have ever thought were possible. He’ll point out each planet and tell you about them in so much detail. You can ask him anything, but whatever you do, do not ask about the others. The other angels, Lucifer, Michael, or any of the others. Don’t ask because he will change before your very eyes. He will become a soldier. Never ever ask about God, do not ask about rebellious older brothers and absentee fathers, do not infer about a war you know nothing of.
His wings are a big deal. No angel will ever show a human their wings, but Gabriel will show you his because he is so deeply in love with you that he doesn’t care. You will be in awe of just how big his wings are. You will ask him how he can possibly fit inside a room, let alone fit through the door. He will show you how his wings fold up and press against his body so tightly that they just look like a tattoo on his back. He will use his wings to shield you from any pain and suffering. He will wrap you up in them and you will feel safer than you ever have before. He will allow you to run your hand through his feathers. He loves it, maybe a little too much.
The sex will be extraordinary. His grace will surround you, caressing you, not in a sexual way, but in a soothing way. He saves all the sexual stuff for his body only. He will leave a trail of kisses along your skin that you will feel for years. The way his body fits with yours will feel like you are right where you need to be, who you need to be with. He will make your body sing, you will praise his name, and you will whisper your prayers against his lips. He’ll already know where all your soft spots are, because he knows you better than you know yourself.
But most of all, the heartbreak will be the worst. Knowing you don’t belong together, but still trying to make it work will tear you in two. You will spend that first night without him crying until you can’t breathe, or even speak. It will hurt knowing that he can hear your cries, but knowing he won’t come. He won’t look at you the same way ever again. That soldier I mentioned? That’s what he becomes to avoid showing you how he really feels. Deep down, you will know that somewhere in there, he is hurting too, and somehow, that makes it even worse.
I’m writing this to tell you of my experience with Gabriel. I have and always will love him, but our time is over now. Take care of him, because I know he will take care of you. Don’t ask him why we broke up, because it was my decision, not his. Give him everything you have to offer, you won’t regret it. I hope you are the one for him.
tada! a commissioned Gabriel fluff for the lovely @the-moose-of-baskerville <3 hope you enjoy!
Summary: making caramel apples for Halloween with your fav archangel!
Word Count: 1.3k
Warnings: a fucking fluff overload!!!
A/N: this is my first time writing Gabriel, so pls be kind!!
“Hey, Sugar.”
You squealed in surprise at the sound of your boyfriend Gabriel’s voice from behind you, his hands squeezing your waist and tickling you.
“Gabe!” you shouted with laughter, squirming out of his hold to get him to stop tickling you. “Took you long enough!”
Gabriel fake pouted. “I know, I’m sorry. But look!” he said, holding up two full grocery bags, one in each hand. “I bought all the stuff you asked for. Aren’t I the best boyfriend ever?”
You scoffed with a grin, taking the bags from him and setting them down on the counter. “Yeah, yeah, I guess you’re not that bad. Thank you.”
Gabe kissed the top of your head before watching you pull out the items from the bags, laying them out on the counter. “Remind me what all of this is for, again?”
“We’re making caramel apples! For Halloween tomorrow.”
“Ah, yes that’s right,” Gabe nodded. “So, you'll be doing the baking and I’ll be doing the eating, right?” he teased.
“Oh, no, mister. You’re helping me this year. But don’t worry, making caramel apples is easy! Just follow my lead.”
Gabriel saluted you. “Yes ma’am.”
You smiled. “First thing’s first: grab a pan and spray it with cooking oil.”
He nodded, grabbing the pan and holding the can of cooking oil right in front of it.
“Wait!” you exclaimed, stopping him. “Don’t hold the spray so close. You need a nice, even layer of the oil all over the pan, okay?”
Gabriel raised his eyebrows in mock offense. “Oh, well excuuuuse me!”
You grinned, taking the pan and cooking oil from him. “So sassy. Here, I’ll do it. You just start taking the stems off of all the apples.”
“Now that I can do.”
Gabriel began humming a tune that you weren’t familiar with as you sprayed the pan before turning around to grab a bowl and the bag of caramel pieces, getting them set up. “Babe, how are the apples comin’?”
Just as you turned around, you watched him take a giant bite of an apple. “Gabriel!”
“Sorry, sugar,” he laughed with a mouthful of apple, holding his hands up in surrender. “I couldn’t help myself.”
You grinned, smacking him playfully on the chest. “You suck.”
“Not as good as you,” he teased with a wink.
“Gabriel!” you gasped, laughing. You went to playfully shove him but he caught your hands in his, smiling down at you.
“Alright, alright, I’m done. What’s the next step?” he asked.
“Putting the sticks into the apples,” you replied, holding up a bundle of lollipop sticks.
The two of you worked quickly and in comfortable silence, finishing up in under a few minutes.
“Now what?” he asked.
You grabbed the bag of caramel and held it up. “Now it’s time for your favorite part.”
Gabe clapped his hands together, a delighted grin on his face. “That’s what I’m talkin’ about. Let’s get to it, sweetcheeks.”
You and Gabriel unwrapped all the pieces of caramel and put them in a bowl before setting in the microwave, setting the timer for two minutes.
“And now, we wait,” Gabriel sighed.
You hopped up onto the counter to sit and Gabe stood between your legs, his hands resting on your thighs. “Life is hard,” you teased.
He smirked. “You have no idea. But you make it much easier.”
Gabriel’s words sent a blush to your cheeks. “Who knew my little archangel could be such a sap?”
He playfully rolled his eyes at you. “Yeah, yeah.” He then met you halfway for a kiss that warmed you from the inside out, and that’s when the timer dinged. Gabriel pulled away with an annoyed grunt. “This caramel better be good. I don’t stop kissing my girl for just any candy.”
“I feel so special,” you chuckled, hopping down and opening the microwave, pulling out the bowl of melted caramel. “It smells so good!”
Without warning, Gabe stuck his finger in the bowl and scooped up some caramel before popping it in his mouth, moaning obscenely at the taste. “It is so good.”
“Gabriel!” you scolded. “We’re using these for the apples! You’re gonna get your germs all in the caramel.”
“I think if I had cooties, you would’ve gotten them by now,” he pointed out. He stuck his finger in one more time before holding it in front of your mouth. “Wanna taste?”
You sighed, giving in. It did look amazing. You opened your mouth and that’s when Gabriel pulled his finger back and sucked the caramel off himself, laughing hysterically at your disappointed face. “You ass!”
“Don’t tell me you didn’t see that coming,” he laughed, wrapping his arms around your waist to keep you close.
“Meany,” you pouted.
Gabriel leaned in with a smile and kissed you, sliding his tongue against yours briefly before pulling away.
“You taste good,” you said, licking your lips. He tasted just like the caramel.
“I always do,” he replied, winking. “Alright, let’s coat these apples, shall we?”
“We shall,” you agreed with a smile.
The two of you worked in comfortable silence standing side by side, taking each apple and rolling it carefully in the caramel before gently setting them on the pan, both of you trying hard not to get caramel everywhere.
“We’re done!” you exclaimed gleefully, looking at the pan full of about a dozen caramel apples. “And there’s even leftover caramel.”
“Now what?” Gabe asked.
“Now, we stick the pan in the fridge for about 15 minutes. And then they’ll be done!”
Gabe pouted. "But I want one now.”
You rolled your eyes, putting the pan the fridge before grabbing the bowl of caramel and sticking your finger in it. You scooped up some caramel and booped Gabriel with it, making him go crosseyed as he tried to look at his nose.
“You’re so cute!” you giggled.
“Oh, it is so on,” he warned, a grin spreading across his face.
As soon as Gabriel grabbed the bowl from your hand, you took off down the hall with a squeal, adrenaline pumping through your veins as you heard his feet take off after you.
“You can’t run from an archangel, sweetheart!” Gabe shouted after you.
“I can try!” you yelled back.
As soon as you turned the corner, you ran straight into Gabriel, making you shout in surprise. “Damn it! You cheated!”
He laughed. “I did just warn you, didn’t I?” Before you could run away again, he booped you, putting a glob of caramel on the tip of your nose. “There. Now you’re almost as cute as me.”
“Shutup!” you laughed. “I know 15 minutes hasn’t passed, but do you want to check on the caramel apples? Maybe we can eat one now.”
“You took the words right out of my mouth.”
Gabe followed you back into the kitchen, watching as you opened the fridge and peeled a caramel apple off of the pan. The caramel was still pretty gooey, but that didn’t bother you. Your mouth watered at just looking at it.
“Wanna share?” you asked, holding up the apple.
Gabe smirked and nodded. You held up the apple as the two of you bit into the opposite sides, the caramel smearing over both of your noses, mouths and chins. You both pulled away laughing, wiping at your faces.
“Oh, dad, when did you turn me into such a cheeseball? This is straight out of Lady and the Tramp.”
“It’s ‘cause you love me so much. You can’t help it.”
Gabriel wrapped his arms around you, leaning in for a kiss. “You taste sweeter than caramel, sugar.”
You chuckled, wrapping your arms around his neck. “Love you, Gabe.”
anyone want to be tagged in a Dean smut and/or a Gabriel fluff?
HELLO FAM
so I’ve got some commissioned fics coming up that will be posted this week for two lovely people, and one’s a Dean smut and the other is Gabriel fluff!
they’re not technically reader inserts as they do include the names of those who requested the fic, but they are still in second person pov, so if you’d still like to be tagged in them, let me know! :-)
