This issue marked a significant step in the relationship between Jennifer Mays and Gabriel Webb, the two heroes of the Maze Agency, who began the series as very good friends, and then started dating.

The Maze Agency, 1988-1991

Wrap-around covers (well, wrap-half-around actually)

The comic series is about Jennifer Mays, “New York’s prettiest detective” and owner of the Maze detective agency, and her boyfriend Gabriel Webb, a true crime writer. Yes, this reminds me a little of the later seasons of Castle when Castle and Beckett become a serious couple. The Maze Agency is rooted in the classic “fair-play whodunnit”. All stories are written with enough clues so readers can figure out who the killer is before he is revealed.
