Ree's Toriki
A beautiful excorcist lady - i could not resist and was very happy to do an arttrade with the kind risto. The scan swallowed the details in the red hair and why does she have blue streaks over the classes? because glass. and because watercolor fail.
The black Ink suddenly turned out not to be waterproof : / i barely could color in the face : /
Here is the Marrow Gates tumblr with a lot of fun drawings to this endearing project: http://risto-licious.tumblr.com/
Wheeler from Return to Oz.
This was again just practicing. The wiry things are drawn with a copperish varnish.
Return to Oz was my childhood movie. What a cheerful place.
My favorite scene was the wheelers falling into the desert - the effect looked amazing. There was only one thing about the movie, that i found not okay. Dorothy's behavior in the treasury made no sense for me. And the treasury itself was stupid. The Nome King (or Gnome King?) lived among the most beautiful crystals and gemstones and hoarding.... what?! not piles of Smaughish gold and Ducktalesy Riches, no Bugsbunnyish chests of perls and daggers, no Aladin-Sparkle-Mountains! Nope - weird sculptures and art! THAT DID NOT EVEN SPARKLE OR GLINT! And when Dorothy chose the first piece she picked... a vase! A VASE! That was SO unrealistic...
Luckily nowadays i appreciate things not just for their material value ; )
