A deliciously playful scent that is subtle and lovely - Zoltan

As you know, I am not a man - I’m a WO-man. Recently, I was in need of gifting a good friend, Darin, a birthday present. He is a HUGE perfume lover. He loves to try different types of perfumes. Florals, Woody, Fruity, Spicy, you name it. In fact, he has a display cabinet in his living room engulfed with atomizers, diffusers, fancy bottles, discount store bottles, designer and private labels.  He loves to try an assortment of perfumes, he even categorizes them by olfactive families. 

Now, back to the original story.

So, I was at a local mall looking for a new bottle to gift my comrade. I walked into a moderate sizes perfume store looking for a fresh scent he can add to his collection. Shelves laced with perfumes and colognes were fifteen feet or higher off the ground in an array of colors, styles and obviously scents.

I was greeted by Maria,  a young associate in her twenties and explained to her I needed a distinctive scent that Darin hasn’t smelled before. She assured me we would find it. After testing what seemed to be hundreds of bottles, a particular one captivated my attention.

This unique blend vibes a rich scent with hints of grapefruit, cinnamon, rose, and blond leather. A somewhat sensual but masculine fragrance, Zoltan reminiscences the summers I spent with my cousin and his family on their vineyard in Siena, Italy, just north of Rome. 

Fragrance Notes:

Top Notes:  Grapefruit, Mint, Peppermint & Blood Mandarin.

Middle Notes: Red Rose Absolute, Musk & Cinnamon Bark.

Base Notes: Blond Leather, Tonka Beans, Indian Patchouli & Amber Ketal.

Fragrance Family: Woody Spicy.

Zoltan opens with a deliciously playful scent of juicy grapefruit, sharp mint, and mandarin, giving a mellow sensation of mystery. Through a flawless metamorphosis revealing beautiful notes of red rose contrasting warm cinnamon and spice. The finale leads us through a sophisticated yet seductive base of leather and amber with a spicy blend of patchouli and homely tonka beans.

I was hooked!

The seamless transition between notes is subtle and lovely. I was so impressed, I purchased it I think more for myself to smell. It’s a great fragrance to wear on a date, in a casual office setting, or during nocturnal activities. I would not recommend it being worn to business meetings, formal occasions, or anywhere you would ‘stand out.’

The color is light almost a faint peach hue which is carried in a clear, colorless glass bottle with a silver crown, laced with micro pyramids running around the cylinder. 

I purchased the bottle and with pride walked out of the store glowing in satisfaction. I’m sure my friend will enjoy the scent and add to his collection like his done before. I just hope he wears it more than sniffs it at home!
