Some Lae'zel/Gale epilogue bits

New ending for gae'zel just dropped. You tell me there's any way Gale is going to choose not to join Lae'zel in the Astral Plane? You know this nerd is studying the Astral Plane every spare second he has between fights
Now to check out the kisses!

“Lae’zel?”
There was a time in his youth where Gale thought the only proper way to address a lover was with a pet name of some sort. Over the last few nights, since they made love properly for the first time, he’s tried out all sorts of pet names.
Love. Darling. Dear heart.
In his head, at least. He’s not quite worked up the courage to actually say any of those endearments out loud. He doesn’t think he could quite handle her scorn to such an offering. Or worse. Her laughter. Perhaps one day.
But for now, she is Lae’zel. And that is all she needs to be.
They stand on the banks of the Chionthar, having stopped here away from the crowds of Rivington, after speaking with Voss. Lae’zel has not said one word since they left Sharess’ Caress and all that they have learned.
Gale sent Jaheira and Wyll back to camp, already dreading the meal the Warlock will prepare. The food will be acceptable, Gale knows this. But will it have heart? Soul? The panache that Gale would infuse into the flavors? He thinks not.
But that is neither here nor there. Their supper is not of most importance at this very moment.

Every now and again I reread your Silk and Steel fic because I love it so much!
Ahhh! Thank you! I actually wrote a little bit for it last night. I will get the next letter out this month. Not gonna guarantee it cause that will be a surefire way to make that not happen lol
But I do want to finish it! Hopefully sooner rather than later!

The blood flowing through Lae’zel’s veins still sing the song of battle. Her bones are the distant drumbeat of war. Her muscles, a pyre for those who have perished by her hand.
The battle is over. Ketheric Thorm is dead. The Absolute unmasked.
And Gale’s heart still beats.
Lae’zel stares at him, not wanting to let him out of her sight for a moment. Not when she thought he would no longer be a part of her life after this day.
He’s hunched over, hands on his knees, breathing heavily. Her gaze lingers, wishing not for the first time that she could watch him more in battle. The night she challenged him is still burned in her memory, the way he fought against her steel, protecting himself from her might. How he challenged her in return, though ultimately she was the victor. Barely. Gale was glorious that night. No doubt he was glorious in the fight against Ketheric Thorm and the Avatar of Myrkul. But her duty is the front line, to ensure that those who would harm her companions will never get that chance. Even though he hardly strayed into her line-of-sight during the battle, she took comfort in the cadence of his magic. Of fire and frost and pure unadulterated force.

Oblivious Gale looking for a DEBATE when people are flirting with him is the best. I want him carnally.
I couldn't help myself :D
I really like this photo from the act 1 romance scene. The way he's looking at Lae'zel! He doesn't know it yet, but he's gonna be so in love with her soon(ish)
So much fun to write!
I hear you did the deed. How was your little romp?
If anyone is interested, it's this line that inspired me to start writing Iron and Satin, Silk and Steel
What a little shit (affectionate). I love Astarion and how he just wants all the gossip about Gale and Lae'zel here!
