"Aislynn?" Niall asked.

"Huh? Yeah?" I shook my head and looked at the blonde haired boy.

Even though he looked so hot with that hair color, I miss the times when they were brown.

"You ready to go?"

"Yeah." I smiled and slipped in my shoes.

I had a yellow sundress on because of the warm weather. Niall on the other hand had a blue polo shirt and beige shorts.

He looked extremely attractive.

We walked out and got into Niall's car before driving away to the nearby park.

Me and Niall had been best friends since we were in first grade. Even though we weren't dating, people would all the time mistake us as a couple. Just recently, I had started to feel some mixed emotions with him. Like, I didn't fancy the thought of him having a girlfriend. Or I just felt like kissing him whenever I'd look at his face. It was really confusing but I kept my mouth shut because I didn't want to ruin our friendship.

Today, since it was the weekend, me and Niall decided on going to the park to hang out.

When we reached, I got out of the car and smiled at my surroundings. The wind was blowing softly, there were kids playing around, some couples having a nice stroll, and endless amount of picnic blankets.

"Come on." Niall grinned, taking my hand and leading me through some trees.

After a few minutes of silent walking, Niall stopped.

"What's up?" I asked, baffled.

"I need to tell you something.."

There was no one around. Just me and my best friend. And it felt perfect.

"I think I'm falling for you Aislynn.."

Those words erupted fireworks in my mind as I tried to register them.

I flashed him a wide smile, knowing exactly what he was talking about.

"Me too."

I replied and leaned forward to give him a small peck on his cheek.

No more words were exchanged, we went back to our walk.

But this time, his arm was protectively wrapped around my shoulder, mine around his waist, and there was a new energy in our relationship. It felt amazing.
