I've been dying to make a Kasumi GMV set to Red Like Roses from the RWBY series, which is insanely funny as RWBY would NOT exist without Dead or Alive, as Monty Oum did create the Dead Fantasy web series - where Dead or Alive characters fight Final Fantasy characters. It's insane as it sounds and I can't stress how cool it is when two of your special interests actually have a very vital link to each other.
I know that Red Like Roses Part II is a 'conversation' between Ruby Rose and her mother Summer Rose, and the black hole her mother left her after um. not returning home from her mission (which was doomed). I kinda wanted to apply that to Kasumi and Hayate, because all of the events of DOA occur because of his fight against Raidou that lead to his comatose state, and well everything that came afterwards were the consequences of that. While this is Kasumi-centric, I do view both Kasumi and Ayane being 'Ruby Rose', and while Hayate is their older sibling, their absence left the same kind of black hole that Summer Rose did when she didn't return. It's just. Hayate did come back...
Unfortunately during the making of this GMV, Clipchamp, the software I use to make these music videos, had an awful update recently that had me constantly exiting and re-entering the program whenever the smallest of editing changes was made during the editing process.
It demands to be constantly synced to the cloud, so I kinda have to ditch Clipchamp as a video editing program. It sucks because its legitimately easy to use and I do really like how it's layout works. This is kinda why the beginning part's editing/transition kinda sucks, it's just I was so focused on getting this project done so I didn't have to deal with the nonsense the application was putting me through. It was driving me THAT mad. Also this being long made it super hard to get 1080p version that I could compress as the 1080p version of this video exceeds online video converters which you have to pay for >:( so sorry on the bad quality for this one.....
Before anyone asks; No, I won't stop making these. It just means I need to find different video editing software: I'll probably go with Lightworks and OpenShot. Maybe DaVinci Resolve, or if none satisfy me, I'll just re-download and older version of Clipchamp and just hope that it doesn't update itself.

This AMV is a remake of one of my earlier amvs from last year, and now with a little more experience under my belt with video editing, the new and improved version is finally here!
This improved version contains better editing, new and (mostly!) original footage recorded by yours truly, has slightly better audio mixing (kinda), but still tries to stick as closely as possible to the spirit, tone and bone structure of the original video. This new and improved version is ALMOST perfect to me. That said kinda forgot to lower the volume of the music a little oops, oh well! Just means if you're watching this to put the volume down a little more.
It's been a long time coming, I've been constantly teasing about making this specific amv for a while. It just took a little longer to get around to because I got distracted by other hyperfixations haha.
But now I'm back on my Dead or Alive bullshit! Plus it was a joy to get back into video editing again. The last one I made was... March-April? So yeah it's been a little overdue in making a new amv haha.
At least 99.9% of the video game footage used is my own! This is all thanks to the use of an Elgato Capture card, which let me record cut-scene footage of DOA6 and DOA5. However, that remaining 1% is not my own, and is instead accredited to the use of footage from the original 2018-2019 Dead or Alive 6 Reveal Trailer, which can be found here.

i know my mutuals are looking at this and thinking: "hey shallow, this GMV is familiar, are you sure you haven't posted this one before?'
Surprise! It's a remake of this Ryu + Hayate QP GMV I made back in early August! It still follows familiar beats/moments, and re-uses the same footage in some places, but there's some new stuff in this one too. I like this version a lot more than the old one, simply because it has a bit more content in it.
Before anyone asks, who's the other Ninja at the start of the GMV, that's Yaiba from Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z, aka the NG game we don't really talk about. The cinematics of that game are striking, and I certainly wasn't expecting that opening scene from the game to line up so well with 'Safe Intoxication'. I did make this GMV with the intentions of putting two songs together to make one whole game music video, as demonstrated in this DOOM x RYU GMV one. But it worked so well here, that I could not bring myself to remove it, or split it off into its own video. So that's why it's here. Not really related to the rest of the video lmao, unless you want to read silly (and vaguely spicy) Ryu/Ridley/Hayate lore that's mentioned in my version of the Yaiba game lmao.
BTW the NG3: Razor's Edge footage is in there because one of the Katanas is Hayate's sword, Jinra-maru, a sword that can 'create storms', and that's the CLOSEST we'll ever get to playing Hayate in the Ninja Gaiden games unfortunately. BEGGING Tecmo to make NG4 DLC have a playable Hayate if the game is successful enough.
Music used for this GMV are 'Safe Intoxication' and 'Sky Should be High -vocal version-' from the game, Guilty Gear Xrd -Revelator-.
