Loss, Lies, Death for the headcanons meme :)

Loss

Like with most things, Aphrodite feels loss more deeply than most are capable of, though most relationships end on her terms so its not often she experiences loss, when it happens she’s devastated beyond reproach. 

When she thinks of loss the first person she thinks of is Adonis because of the violent way in which he was ripped from her and the guilt she feels over not having saved him.

Lies

Aphrodite doesn’t lie often, mostly because she feels no need to lie to most and the truth always seems easier anyway. But when she does she feels no guilt over it because she does it with good intentions. 

Ares and Hephaestus are among the only people she’s felt the need to be dishonest with, either to spare feelings from being hurt or to protect other lovers, sometimes both.

Death

Like with beginnings, Aphrodite can’t help but see the beauty in endings and theres none more final than death. She respects its power and hasn’t ever tried to cheat death on behalf of a lover or friend, though she admits part of that may be due to the fact that those she loves most are all but immune.
