if you don't mind my asking, why do you not recommend the furminator for most dogs? and would you recommend it for a husky-shepherd mix, why/why not? my parents like to get it for our dog, but if it's not good for him or there's something better, I'd really appreciate any information.

If you look at the teeth on a furminator you can see that they are very short and very close together, if you’re brushing a dog you’re only really brushing over the top of the coat, not getting all the way down to the skin. It can really fray and damage top coat, or even rip it out all together as well as grabbing the loose coat. Have you ever used scissors to fray the ends of ribbon? Think that. Let’s just say that you’ll probably never find it in the tool chest of a conformation (show) groomer. I love it for cats, however.

Two alternatives I’d suggest is a rubber brush, also sometimes called a zoom groom. You can use it during the bath to really massage and scrub the soap into the coat, then dry along with the grain to grab the loose coat and give their skin a nice massage. The other tool I’d recommend is called a coat king, these things are DA BOMB! The teeth are rounded and safe on the ends, but there is a blade inside the curves, but it’s kind of idiot proof and I haven’t know of anyone harming a dog with it.

well, I did that 'best posts of 2015' thing and it made me notice something. either I don't post much with my characters, or I do and it's just that everything else is more popular.

regardless of which one it is, I'll be trying to make more IC posts (most likely only going to be for Min'to and K'yo). I tend to rp more over Skype than in game so I can't guarantee a visual with each post, but I'll do my best. \o/

not sure exactly how I'll go about it just yet, whether it'll be 3rd person or like a journal entry. meh. something to think about. off to sleep I gooooo.

Any friendly tanks willing to cotank with me for mog ex runs?

I’m trying to farm whiskers but queues are awful (always ends up needing just 1 tank, usually take an hour or more). I tried party finder, but everyone is busy doing relics.

Consider this a free ticket to getting kingly whiskers. If you get it, keep it. If you know enough people to put together a full or almost full group, maybe we can even unsync it.

Well I think I found the plot that I really want for Min’to’s house.

I just have to watch them and hope that I have the gil if one of them opens up.

In case anyone is thinking of selling and they have the plot, here’s the one:

The Mist, any ward. It’s plot 22 in the main division, plot 52 in the subdivision.

If you’re not in a situation where the plot will be evacuated, but you are planning on selling, please message me with what you’d like to get for it! At the moment I’m hovering around 2 mil, making gil has been difficult for me lately @_@ I’m working on making it though, just have to wait for things to sell.

I am willing to work out a payment plan of sorts, if you would be willing. I won’t take the plot until you’ve got the amount we agree on and you are ready to leave it.

Note: I don’t need a house with an fc, this is for private housing. I also ask that if you are selling the plot, please keep in mind the original price. The last time I checked, small plots on balmung were going for 4-5 mil (I assume house not included). I’m not going to pay 40 mil for a small plot with house, when I could spend that much and get a bigger house. Just putting that out there.

Gatherers: please for the love of god USE YOUR DAMN STEALTH. I went to grab an unspoiled node in the Dravanian Forelands. I was stealthed, waiting for my gp to raise. Another btn was there, and she was NOT stealthed. She aggroed the nearby bear, stood there instead of running or turning it away, and ended up keeping it aimed at us when it used an aoe, which then killed us both.

She returned to wherever her return was set, I got someone to raise me. But we both lost that node, which I actually needed for my collectibles. I am pissed.

Not only will stealth save you from aggroing and DYING (always an inconvenience), it will prevent you from dying and subsequently losing those rarer items! :D

Plus if someone aggroed and killed you with an aoe from THEIR pull, wouldn’t you be pissed?

Don’t be that person. Use stealth. A few more seconds of walking is better than the time it takes to return to that node after using return.
