I feel very strange about selling my iPad... Maybe because I plan to get a Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 to replace it? I don't know. I've had my iPad for over 4 years but I really haven't used it in about a year and a half. I charged it up and it still works perfectly hardware wise but software wise nothing is really compatible. All the apps are really out of date so they won't open unless I update them, which I can't do because I no longer use iTunes/know the password to the account my iPad is connected to. A good chunk of the apps are things I haven't thought about or used since high school but I can't replace them with things I'd use because of the login issues. I feel bad about not wanting it anymore but it doesn't fit in with all my Samsung/Google products/accounts. My iPad is still a good device, it's just not compatible with my life.
I plan to switch over to using the Note Pro as my primary device (which is why I'm getting the Pro and not the 10.1) and only using my laptop for school work since its getting a bit slow and I don't want to have to replace it until after college. Which brings me to another point about my iPad, it's not capable of being a primary device. The Note Pro comes with Wacom Office which is an amazing mobile office suite compatible with Microsoft Office files. The iPad has its word processing app but I never felt it was worth the money to pay for it when it lacked the polish of Microsoft office. There are a bunch of other features the Note Pro has, like 4-window multitask, that my first generation iPad isn't up to, but the biggest change point for me it the S-pen/pressure sensitivity feature. Ever since I got my iPad one big thing has bothered me, and that's not being able to rest my hand on the screen while using it. This was always a huge annoyance with drawing. I would wear fingerless gloves in order to comfortably draw with my stylus pen without awkwardly hovering my palm above the screen. The Note, on the other hand, can tell the difference between the S-pen, resting your palm, and an actual touch so I can easily switch between drawing without making mistakes due to my hand being on the screen and clicking away with my fingers without putting the pen away.
