3 Stunning DIY Lipsticks Out Of Candy! 🍬💄
LIPSTICK #1: Gummy Galaxy!
MATERIALS:
- Non-toxic Crayons (ONLY TWO! Dark Galaxy-Ish colors recommended, like dark purple, indigo, black, etc. Or you can just do tie-dye!)
- Gummy Candy! (Worms, Bears, etc. ONLY TWO GUMMIES!)
- Coconut Oil (About 1 teaspoon, NO LESS!)
- Glitter (About one teaspoon. No specific color… BE CREATIVE!)
- Some sort of lipstick container/tube
STEPS:
1. Take a frying pan or a skillet pan, fill about 1/3 of it with cold water.
2. Put two mini bowls inside the pan, and put half of the coconut oil into each bowl (About 0.5 teaspoon in each bowl, and I repeat, NO LESS!) The mini bowls should be so small that when you put it in the pan, half of it should be inside the water. Adjust sizes and amounts if you’d like.
3. Turn the heat onto 5 or 6. Now, time for the fun part!
4. You should already have TWO gummies chosen. NOT types of gummies, only TWO GUMMIES. Put one gummy in each bowl.
5. Now, peel your crayons and snap each one in half. You should only have two crayons! Snap each peeled crayon in half, and put one half of each crayon into each bowl.
6. Put some glitter it each bowl! There should only be 0.5 teaspoons of glitter in each bowl, but you can get creative and put a tiny bit of each color inside your lipstick! *NOTE*: I use MAC makeup glitter, because its guaranteed lip friendly. not saying you have to use it, but I’ll put the link at the end of this!
7. Let ALL the ingredients melt completely. Then carefully pick up each bowl, and IMMEDIATELY start alternately pouring the bowls into the EMPTY lipstick container/tube. Alternately means like, first pour a little of the first mini bowl, then a little of the second, then a little of the first, and keep going until both mini bowls are drained!
8. Let the lipstick set for a few minutes. To speed up the process, you can stick in the fridge for only ONE minute!
9. Put it on! Doesn’t it look am-AH-zing?! I know! You can also make a Galaxy Lip Balm by simply using a lip balm container instead of a lipstick tube!
Et’ Voila! Your super GLAM homemade DIY Lipstick is ready! And it tastes and smells good too! Your friends will be SO jealous!
For a more natural look, try peach, light pink, or apricot crayons. For a party look, go with bright shades of red. Again, BE CREATIVE!
Make sure to try this at home, and comment or PM your results! The DIY credit goes to Yours Truly! What can I say? I’m such a creative and resourceful girl! The other two lipsticks will be posted tomorrow and Saturday, along with a bunch of my usual gorgeous selfies!
