"i’m sure it was quite something to see.” she really wished she would have been able to witness things like that when she was growing up. “i mean... i’d like to get into the full, fun experience, but...” she paused, a bit hesitantly before a bashful smile appeared on her lips, “just in case doesn’t sound too bad, you know.” alice, after all, considered herself to be moderately adventurous on a good day, but trying new things out still scared her in some way. as she stated previously, she indeed trusted shiloh– it had more to do with her own fear. with a nod to herself, the female walked after the other to the rental area. “of course you do have your own pair! are yours white, perhaps?” she asked before her attention shifted to the person at the rental area, and then asked for a pair of skates her size. “now seeing the blades up close, they do look dangerous,” she laughed nervously as she grabbed both skates, eyes on shiloh. “where to next?”

“we are allowed to sometimes listen to stuff at work, when we are working on our own projects, and provided we don’t slack.” from time to time, oliver did listen to music while working, but podcasts? he’d never thought of it and he had to admit it was a pretty damn good idea.”you know, that does make sense...” he nodded slowly, arms crossing over his chest. “i’ve never tried podcasts before, but you are selling it quite well, i must say!” the girl had quite exceptional skills at sales, he thought. not that it took much work to convince oliver of stuff in general, but he truly thought the florist was good at her job. “i’m open to any kind of podcasts recommendations. i do love the job, yes. you know, just doing stuff over at the lab, researching... it’s one of the things i love the most.” oliver always considered himself quite lucky to be working in something he loved and was passionate about. “just like yourself really! you seem to love working with flowers and interacting with customers.” he commented. “thesis is coming along well.. tough but i’m getting there.” he couldn’t help but laugh at her next words, now his hands inside his jeans pockets. “I would say it’s kind of a secret, but...” he shifted nervously, debating whether to tell her. “heck, it’s really cool and i can’t keep a secret. i’m working on the synthesis of a chemical compound, which i hope it will be useful in the development of new medicines.” he then smiled widely, quite happy with himself. “the flowers look great, by the way. i never knew they could have so many meanings. a bouquet, so it will be easier for me to move around the city.” oliver was indeed quite impressed with the florist’s work. he knew he’d never be able to put together something as beautiful as that.

“awful situations indeed. the mere thought of having to put up with it is completely unpleasant. some people really do take celebrities for granted. they are entitled to their own privacy, just like everybody else. allowed to be human, but some fans, huh?” emma herself did not know much about that kind of world, but some of the stories she had heard from some acquaintance, who actually worked for some A-lister, were terrifying, to say the least. “oh god, no! imagine if i was this chatty at work, i would have get fired on my first trial day.” she laughed in return. “although, i cannot assure you i won’t call my boss an asshole to his face once i hand in my resign letter.” with a slight hint of hopelessness in her voice, emma delicately took the glass, hesitant for a moment before drinking some. “whenever that might be,” she added in the same tone. “aw, thank you. i like talking to you too. it is a nice change for once.” used to a very hectic schedule, where she was just running errands here and there and taking on more tasks than she should have to, emma barely had a life outside her workplace, so this kind of slow paced conversation was a lovely change. “they wouldn’t tell you you were a shit boss. they would just do it behind your back,” she pointed out, “but you do seem like a good one, so i wouldn’t worry,” however, upon late realization of ridley’s words, emma finally connected the dots. “oh shit. are you the boss? hell, i’ve probably made a fool out of myself. and you must think i’m a shit employee.” the fact that ridley was a boss surprised emma for he didn’t look like one as she couldn’t help but comparing him to her own boss– but then again, ridley was likely around the same age as hers. “i mean, i’m just surprised is all.” she waved a dismissive hand before her while smiling. “but it’s all good really. again, you genuinely seem like the good kind of boss.” emma lightly touched his arm, a slight apologetic smile now on her lips. “and you should definitely try to do less! when was the last time you did something for fun? or because you’ve felt like doing it?”
