Sometimes in the process of making commissions or a series mistakes are made and nearly completed pieces get set aside due to something being wrong with them. Yes they can later be corrected, but the finished piece is still "off-spec" a misprint if you will. This is one such piece. After lid/box alignment issues resulted in the box being shaved down about 1/2 of an inch, I managed to put the lid on backwards which would mean the recipe cards in the top would slant the wrong way. After getting all my other orders out I came back to this box, flipped the lid the right way, filled the drill holes and re-finished it. Now its a lovely little Off-Spec Character Recipe Box that is waiting for someone interested in a piece with a little extra charm.
