Above all else I love GaliJenni because they are like "We must keep our relationship a secret for it is heavily disproved of..." and then proceed to do the worst job ever, to the point where their coworkers are lowkey irritated 💕 And this does not even change in Season 2 when Gaelio has to take up his masked persona 💕
Literally just wanted to finally cobble together my ideas for whatever IBO!Jenni is doing in Season 1. My markers splattered a little but I managed to not eat glass about it so its fiiiiiiine :,3
Originally from the Dort Colonies, Jenni Steelwright has been working on all sorts of machines and mechanical assemblies since she was about 12 or 13. She managed to worm her way into Gjallarhorn after a man with ties to the organization passed through her workplace and took note of her exceptional mechanical abilities. In Season 1, she primarily works in mobile suit maintenance, though she is sometimes called into battle when her superiors think her custom EB-06X Graze Sharpshooter Type would be an asset.
Because of her upbringing in a relatively rough environment, Jenni oftentimes struggles with connecting socially with many of her coworkers, and the fact that she is autistic especially does not help matters. She loves learning about and/or discussing anything to do with the Calamity War and the Gundam Frames and becomes markedly excited when asked about either of these topics. She also loves cute things, as evidenced by her plushie collecting habits and her own personal fleet of Haros that help her with anything from mobile suit maintenance to sniping targets on the battlefield. She wears her mechanic's jumpsuit everywhere when she's on the clock and borderline refuses to wear her actual uniform because she absolutely despises the way the collar material feels against her neck.
Amongst her coworkers, Jenni has garnered a reputation of sorts for her semi-illicit relationship with a certain Specialist Major. Some (i.e. Ein Dalton and Carta Issue) don't mind it, but others actively look down upon her because they believe she is providing her boss with certain favors in return for preferential treatment. At the start of Season 1, Gaelio and Jenni have been in a relationship for about three years, and Gaelio loves her very much. He's trying to dance around the whole "when are you going to finally accept a marriage proposal" thing because Jenni is the one he wants to spend his life with. He will accept nothing less. Jenni thinks he's being ridiculous, seeing as she has no money, no property, and two disabilities that carry quite a bit of stigma. However, Gaelio's idealism is a bit infectious, and she does yearn for a future in which she feels as though she truly belongs somewhere. Despite her cynicism, she can't help but believe that this brighter future he's always telling her about really could exist.
(I'll probably edit some of this later. I'm very tired dkfjghdkjghdfkjdh)
Above all else Gaelio appeals to me because he is an arrogant and somewhat naive rich boy that is very bullyable. It is so fun to do things to that specific subcategory of character.
Got to tell my friends that Vidar is piloted but a guy who's good at Gundams because he's hooked up to his dead coworkers corpse via a port on his neck today 💜
I'm gonna keep going. That post was made because I remembered finding out that Gaelio's facial scar ends somewhere on his neck via some art book scans and was lowkey disappointed about it. Bandai Namco, you are not allowed to let me down like this again.
Internet was down at my house so unfortunately I was forced to do something productive with myself last night. Here's Gjallarhorn's most irritating warriors
